Abstract

This study aims to analyze the levels of mental workload and work Stres s in the K3L Department, as well as to examine the relationship between the two variables. A quantitative approach was employed, using the NASA-TLX questionnaire to measure mental workload and the GHQ-12 questionnaire to assess work Stres s. The study involved a population of 12 employees from the K3L Department. The results show that the average mental workload score is 72, categorized as high, and the average work Stres s score is 26, also categorized as high. The dominant dimensions of mental workload were Own performance, Mental Demand, and Effort, while the most prominent dimension of work Stres s was Social disfunciton & Somatic symptoms. The Spearman correlation test revealed a significant positive relationship between mental workload and work Stres s, with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.601 (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that mental workload contributes to increased work Stres s, although the strength of this relationship may vary based on factors such as age, length of service, job position, and area of responsibility.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat beban kerja mental dan Stres pegawai serta mengetahui hubungan antara keduanya. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner NASA-TLX untuk beban kerja mental dan GHQ-12 untuk Stres. Seluruh populasi pegawai Departemen K3L yang berjumlah 12 orang dijadikan responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata beban kerja mental pegawai adalah sebesar 72 (kategori tinggi), sedangkan rata-rata skor Stres adalah 26 (kategori tinggi). Dimensi beban kerja mental yang paling dominan adalah Own performance, Mental Demand, dan Effort, sedangkan dimensi Stres yang paling dominan adalah Social disfunciton & Somatic symptoms. Uji korelasi Spearman menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara beban kerja mental dan Stres dengan nilai r = 0,601 (p < 0,05). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa beban kerja mental berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan Stres , meskipun pengaruhnya dapat bervariasi tergantung pada usia, masa kerja, jabatan, dan bidang kerja.
