Abstract
The fungus that causes Fusarium wilt disease in banana plants, Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense is the most common pathogen. An alternative way to control Fusarium wilt is by using biological agents, which commonly include rhizosphere fungi. Antagonistic rhizosphere fungi can inhibit the growth of pathogenic fungi. This research determines the potential of rhizosphere fungi from Cavendish banana plants that are antagonistic in controlling Fusarium wilt disease in vitro. This was an experimental method using a non-factorial completely randomized design consisting of 7 levels conducted from February to May 2025 at the Laboratory of Soil and Agroclimate, Faculty of Agriculture, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, Serang City, Banten Province. The antagonistic test produces 6 fungal isolates that are antagonistic with 3 of them having a high percentage inhibition value, the CRP 1 of 63,96%, CRP 2 of 71,35% and CRP 3 of 61,13%. The smallest colony diameter of the Foc fungus at 7 days after inoculation was owned by isolates CRP 2, CRP 4 and CRP 3. Morphological characterization of rhizosphere fungi is circular in shape, the surface is white, yellowish white, black, and green, has a cotton-like and velvety texture with raised elevations, and microscopically has a hyphal structure that is conceptile and non-ceptile. The pathogenicity test indicated that 5 isolates were non-pathogenic and one of them was pathogenic to the target organism.

| Additional Information: | Cendawan yang menyebabkan penyakit layu Fusarium pada tanaman pisang, yaitu Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense merupakan patogen yang paling umum. Upaya lain yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengendalikan penyakit layu Fusarium adalah dengan menggunakan agen hayati, yaitu cendawan rhizosfer. Cendawan rhizosfer yang bersifat antagonis mampu menghambat pertumbuhan cendawan patogen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi cendawan asal rhizosfer tanaman pisang Cavendish yang bersifat antagonis dalam mengendalikan penyakit layu Fusarium secara in vitro. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis eksperimental dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap non-faktorial yang terdiri dari 7 taraf yang dilakukan pada bulan Februari sampai dengan Mei 2025 bertempat di Laboratorium Tanah dan Agroklimat, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa, Kota Serang, Provinsi Banten. Pengujian antagonisme menghasilkan 6 isolat cendawan yang bersifat antagonis dengan 3 isolat diantaranya memiliki nilai persentase daya hambat yang tinggi yaitu CRP 1 sebesar 63,96%, CRP 2 sebesar 71,35% dan CRP 3 sebesar 61,13%. Diameter koloni cendawan Foc yang terkecil pada 7 HSI dimiliki oleh isolat CRP 2, CRP 4 dan CRP 3. Karakterisasi morfologi cendawan rhizosfer yaitu memiliki bentuk yang sirkuler, permukaannya berwarna putih, putih kekuningan, hitam, dan hijau, memiliki tekstur seperti kapas dan beludru dengan elevasi yang timbul, serta secara mikroskopis memiliki struktur hifa yang bersepta dan tidak bersepta. Pengujian patogenisitas menunjukkan bahwa 5 isolat bersifat non-patogen dan salah satunya bersifat patogen terhadap organisme inang. | |||||||||
