Abstract

The aim of the research was to determine the growth response and yield of three varieties of caisim (Brassica juncea L.) with Wick hydroponic system and floating raft. This research was conducted from July to September 2024 at Agroeduwisata Markazkomobid, Jl. Sikuali, Sambilawang, Kec. Waringinkurung, Kab. Serang, Banten. The research method was carried out with a two factorial Completely Randomized Design with the first factor variety consisting of three levels namely, Tosakan variety, Shinta variety, and Kumala variety. The second factor hydroponic system consist of two levels namely, Wick system and floating rafts. The result showed that the treatment of Shinta varieties gave the best results in the parameters of plant height, leaf length, and left width. The Kumala variety treatment gave the best results on the number of leaves parameter. The floating raft system treatment gave the best results at one weeks after planting in the parameters of the number of leaves and leaf width. The Wick system treatment gives the best results at two weeks after the parameter of the number of leaves and leaf width as well as at four weeks after the parameter of plant dry weight. There was no interaction between varieties and hydroponic system.

Additional Information: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan respons pertumbuhan dan hasil panen tiga varietas caisim (Brassica juncea L.) dengan sistem hidroponik Wick dan rak apung. Penelitian ini dilakukan dari Juli hingga September 2024 di Agroeduwisata Markazkomobid, Jl. Sikuali, Sambilawang, Kec. Waringinkurung, Kab. Serang, Banten. Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan desain acak lengkap dua faktor, dengan faktor pertama varietas terdiri dari tiga tingkat, yaitu varietas Tosakan, varietas Shinta, dan varietas Kumala. Faktor kedua sistem hidroponik terdiri dari dua tingkat, yaitu sistem Wick dan rak apung. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan varietas Shinta memberikan hasil terbaik pada parameter tinggi tanaman, panjang daun, dan lebar daun. Perlakuan varietas Kumala memberikan hasil terbaik pada parameter jumlah daun. Perlakuan sistem rak apung memberikan hasil terbaik pada minggu pertama setelah penanaman pada parameter jumlah daun dan lebar daun. Perlakuan sistem wick memberikan hasil terbaik pada minggu kedua setelah penanaman pada parameter jumlah daun dan lebar daun, serta pada minggu keempat setelah penanaman pada parameter berat kering tanaman. Tidak terdapat interaksi antara varietas dan sistem hidroponik.
