Abstract
This research departs from the phenomenon of social change due to digitalization which has positive and negative impacts on life. The focus of this research is the declining interest in reading among Generation Z. The presence of reading communities in Tangerang City is expected to help increase interest in reading, especially among Generation Z. The presence of a reading community in Tangerang City is expected to help increase interest in reading, especially among Generation Z. Therefore, this study aims to describe the role of the Tangerang Book Party community in fostering interest in reading. Therefore, this study aims to describe the role of the Tangerang Book Party community in promoting interest in reading. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach through observation, interviews, and documentation. Using data analysis techniques through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the Tangerang Book Party community acts as a forum for Generation Z to foster interest in reading amid the challenges of digitalization. This community applies the concept of reading that is fun and by Generation Z's cultural patterns. Using the functional structural theory of the AGIL scheme, it was found that this community can adapt to social change (adaptation), run programs according to the vision and mission (goals), build social solidarity (integration), and ensure community sustainability by emphasizing the value of togetherness and responsibility (latency).

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini berangkat dari fenomena perubahan sosial akibat digitalisasi yang berdampak positif dan negatif dalam kehidupan. Fokus penelitian ini adalah menurunnya minat membaca di kalangan Generasi Z. Kehadiran komunitas membaca di Kota Tangerang diharapkan dapat membantu meningkatkan minat baca, khususnya di kalangan Generasi Z. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan peran komunitas Tangerang Book Party dalam menumbuhkan minat membaca. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Dengan menggunakan teknik analisis melalui pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, hingga penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunitas Tangerang Book Party berperan sebagai wadah bagi Generasi Z untuk menumbuhkan minat membaca di tengah tantangan digitalisasi. Komunitas ini menerapkan konsep membaca yang menyenangkan dan sesuai dengan pola budaya Generasi Z. Dengan menggunakan teori struktural fungsional skema AGIL, ditemukan bahwa komunitas ini mampu beradaptasi dengan perubahan sosial (adaptation), menjalankan program sesuai visi-misi (goals), membangun solidaritas sosial (integration), serta memastikan keberlanjutan komunitas dengan menekankan nilai kebersamaan dan tanggung jawab (latency). | |||||||||
