Abstract
Freshwater ecosystems in urban lakes are increasingly threatened by intensive aquaculture practices, especially floating net cages. This study aims to evaluate the impact of Floating Net Cages (FNC) on water quality and trophic status in Situ Cipondoh using diatoms as bioindicators. Sampling was conducted at four stations (FNC1, FNC2, inlet, and outlet) and analyzed for water parameters and diatom community structure. Results showed that FNC1 had lower Trophic Diatom Index (TDI: 62.73–65.77) and higher Percentage of Tolerant Value (%PTV: 22.60–44.08) than the reference sites (TDI: 68.06–75.18; %PTV: 17.82–24.06), indicating eutrophic and organically polluted conditions. Shannon-Wiener diversity index (H') also reflected ecological stress with values between 2.596–2.735. Dominant genera included Nitzschia, Navicula, and Aulacoseira, with Nitzschia palea prevalent in FNC1. The study confirms that floating net cages on water’ activities contribute to organic enrichment and trophic shifts, validating the use of diatoms for ecological monitoring in small urban lakes. This research provides scientific insight for sustainable aquaculture management and urban water quality monitoring.

| Additional Information: | Ekosistem perairan tawar di danau perkotaan semakin terancam oleh praktik akuakultur intensif, terutama penggunaan Keramba Jaring Apung (KJA). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi dampak KJA terhadap kualitas air dan status trofik di Situ Cipondoh dengan menggunakan diatom sebagai bioindikator. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan di empat stasiun (KJA1, KJA2, inlet, dan outlet) dan dianalisis berdasarkan parameter kualitas air serta struktur komunitas diatom. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa stasiun KJA1 memiliki nilai **Trophic Diatom Index (TDI)** yang lebih rendah (62,73–65,77) dan **Persentase Nilai Toleran (%PTV)** yang lebih tinggi (22,60–44,08) dibandingkan lokasi referensi (TDI: 68,06–75,18; %PTV: 17,82–24,06), yang mengindikasikan kondisi eutrofik dan tercemar organik. Indeks keanekaragaman **Shannon-Wiener (H')** juga mencerminkan adanya tekanan ekologis dengan nilai antara 2,596–2,735. Genus dominan yang ditemukan meliputi *Nitzschia*, *Navicula*, dan *Aulacoseira*, dengan *Nitzschia palea* paling melimpah di stasiun KJA1. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa aktivitas KJA berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan beban organik dan perubahan status trofik, serta membuktikan efektivitas diatom sebagai alat pemantauan ekologis di danau perkotaan berskala kecil. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan wawasan ilmiah untuk pengelolaan akuakultur berkelanjutan dan pemantauan kualitas air perkotaan. | |||||||||
