Abstract

Technological developments in the world of education demand innovative learning media that are not only interesting but also capable of stimulating critical thinking skills in students. One relevant alternative is the use of Augmented Reality (AR) technology, which can provide interactive and contextual learning experiences. This study aims to develop Augmented Reality-based learning media to improve students' critical thinking skills in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subjects with a material focus on the diversity of flora and fauna in Indonesia in class V Al-Mulk SDIT Bina Bangsa. This research uses the research and development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Data collection techniques include interviews, observation, documentation, questionnaires, and pretest and posttest tests. Data validity was tested through triangulation of techniques and sources. The results of expert validation of the media show the level of feasibility with an average of 93.63% which is included in the “Very Feasible” category for use in learning. Students' responses to the media were also classified as positive with an average percentage of 79.54% which was in the effective category. In addition, the results of the effectiveness test with N-Gain analysis showed an increase in students' critical thinking skills with an average of 0,84, identifying that the learning media was well received. Augmented Reality-based learning media is proven to be effective and feasible to use in IPAS learning as a means to improve the critical thinking skills of students at the elementary school level.

Additional Information: Perkembangan teknologi dalam dunia pendidikan menuntut inovasi media pembelajaran yang tidak hanya menarik tetapi juga mampu menstimulasi keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Salah satu alternatif yang relevan yaitu pemanfaatan teknologi Augmented Reality (AR) yang dapat menghadirkan pengalaman belajar interaktif dan kontekstual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis Augmented Reality guna meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) dengan fokus materi pada keragaman flora dan fauna di Indonesia di kelas V Al-Mulk SDIT Bina Bangsa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, angket, serta tes pretest dan posttest. Keabsahan data diuji melalui triangulasi teknik dan sumber. Hasil validasi ahli terhadap media menunjukkan tingkat kelayakan dengan rata-rata sebesar 93,63% yang termasuk kategori “Sangat Layak” untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Respon peserta didik terhadap media juga tergolong positif dengan rata-rata persentase 79,54% yang berada dalam kategori efektif. Selain itu, hasil uji efektivitas dengan analisis N-Gain menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik dengan rata-rata sebesar 0,84 mengidentifikasikan bahwa media pembelajaran diterima dengan baik. Media pembelajaran berbasis Augmented Reality terbukti efektif dan layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPAS sebagai sarana untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik di tingkat sekolah dasar.
