Abstract
Background: Gastritis is an inflammation of the gastric mucosa that can cause symptoms of epigastric pain. One non-pharmacological approach that is considered effective for pain management is acupressure therapy. This therapy does not cause side effects, is cost-effective, and can be done independently. Objective: Applying acupressure therapy to evaluate the effectiveness of acupressure in reducing epigastric pain in gastritis patients with ineffective family health management in the Singandaru Health Center area. Methods: This study used a case study method with a family nursing approach. Acupressure interventions were carried out for 3x24 hours with the main points of ST36, CV6, SP6, and P6. Assessment was conducted comprehensively through a family nursing approach. Results: After the acupressure intervention, the patient experienced a decrease in pain scale from 6 to 3 on the Numeric Rating Scale pain scale. The family also showed an increased understanding of the health management of family members and active involvement in care. Conclusion: Acupressure is effective in reducing epigastric pain in gastritis patients and can be integrated as a complementary therapy in family nursing practice. Education to the family is an important component in the effectiveness of the intervention.

| Additional Information: | Latar Belakang: Gastritis merupakan peradangan pada mukosa lambung yang dapat menimbulkan gejala nyeri epigastrik. Salah satu pendekatan non-farmakologis yang dinilai efektif untuk mengatasi nyeri adalah terapi akupresur. Terapi ini tidak menimbulkan efek samping, hemat biaya, dan dapat dilakukan secara mandiri. Tujuan: Menerapkan terapi akupresur untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas akupresur dalam menurunkan nyeri epigastrik pada pasien gastritis dengan manajemen kesehatan keluarga yang tidak efektif di wilayah Puskesmas Singandaru. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan pendekatan asuhan keperawatan keluarga. Intervensi akupresur dilakukan selama 3x24 jam dengan titik utama ST36, CV6, SP6, dan P6. Pengkajian dilakukan secara komprehensif melalui pendekatan keperawatan keluarga. Hasil: Setelah dilakukan intervensi akupresur, pasien mengalami penurunan skala nyeri dari 6 menjadi 3 pada skala nyeri Numerik Rating Scale. Keluarga juga menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman mengenai pengelolaan kesehatan anggota keluarga dan keterlibatan aktif dalam perawatan. Kesimpulan: Akupresur efektif dalam mengurangi nyeri epigastrik pada pasien gastritis dan dapat diintegrasikan sebagai terapi komplementer dalam praktik keperawatan keluarga. Edukasi kepada keluarga menjadi komponen penting dalam efektivitas intervensi. | ||||||
