Abstract
Gout arthritis is a non-communicable disease, but is one of the leading causes of death and is increasing every year. This disease is caused by the accumulation of monosodium urate crystals in joint tissues and other organs. The provision of low purine diet health education regarding uric acid and routine examination of uric acid levels in the blood is carried out as an effort to disseminate information and as a form of prevention to reduce the rate of Gout Arthritis and avoid complications that can arise such as heart disease, kidney failure and joint deformities. This research uses descriptive methods in the form of case studies through a family nursing care approach with 2 clients in the Serang City health center area, data collection using a family nursing care format which includes assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation and evaluation. Clients 1 and 2 found signs of joint pain at night and in the morning. The diagnosis that arises is Knowledge Deficit due to lack of exposure to information due to a lack of educational background and also the age factor above 60 years. The planned nursing intervention is low purine diet education. The results showed that after being given education, there was an increase in knowledge in clients 1 and 2 with gouty arthritis which was marked by the client being able to answer questions correctly in the post-test on the third day.

| Additional Information: | Gout Arthritis adalah penyakit tidak menular, tetapi menjadi salah satu penyebab kematian terbanyak dan selalu meningkat setiap tahunnya. Penyakit ini adalah penyakit yang disebabkan karena adanya penumpukan kristal monosodium urat pada jaringan sendi maupun organ lainnya. Adanya pemberian edukasi kesehatan diet rendah purin mengenai asam urat dan pemeriksaan rutin kadar asam urat dalam darah dilakukan sebagai upaya dalam menyebarkan informasi dan sebagai bentuk pencegahan untuk menekan angka penyakit Gout Arthritis serta menghindari dari komplikasi yang dapat timbul seperti penyakit jantung, gagal ginjal dan deformitas sendi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dalam bentuk studi kasus melalui pendekatan asuhan keperawatan keluarga dengan 2 klien yang berada di wilayah puskesmas Serang Kota, pengumpulan data menggunakan format asuhan keperawatan keluarga yang meliputi pengkajian, diagnosa, intervensi, implementasi dan evaluasi. Pada Klien 1 dan 2 ditemukan tanda nyeri sendi di malam dan pagi hari. Diagnosa yang muncul yaitu Defisit Pengetahuan disebabkan kurangnya terpapar informasi karena latar belakang pendidikan yang kurang dan juga faktor usia diatas 60 tahun. Intervensi keperawatan yang direncanakan adalah edukasi diet rendah purin. Hasil penelitian menunjukan setelah di berikan edukasi terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan pada klien 1 dan 2 penderita gout arthritis yang ditandai dengan klien mampu menjawab pertanyaan dengan benar pada post-test di hari ketiga. | ||||||
