Abstract
Background: Pain is the main complaint experienced by mothers after cesarean sectio due to disectio caesarea omfort in the abdominal wall. Pain that is not treated properly will interfere with basic human activities and needs. Pain management can be done pharmacologically or non-pharmacologically, one of which is by administering aromatherapy. Objective: To analyze the effectiveness of giving lemon diffuser aromatherapy (cytrus) in reducing pain levels in post-sectionio caesarea mothers. Method: This study uses a nursing care approach with assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in post-CS patients who experience pain. Aromatherapy is given with a diffuser once a day for 3 consecutive days. Results: After administration of lemon aromatherapy, there was a decrease in the pain scale from 6 and 7 to 2 based on the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) assessment which is indicated by, the patient did not complain of reduced pain, slept better, and was able to do light mobilization. Conclusion: Lemon diffuser aromatherapy (cytrus) is effective as a non-pharmacological intervention to reduce post-cesarean pain and increase patient comfort.

| Additional Information: | Latar belakang: Nyeri merupakan keluhan utama yang dialami ibu post section caesarea akibat pembedahan pada dinding abdomen. Nyeri yang tidak ditangani dengan baik akan mengganggu aktivitas dan kebutuhan dasar manusia. Penanganan nyeri dapat dilakukan secara farmakologis maupun non-farmakologis, salah satunya dengan pemberian aromaterapi. Tujuan: Menganalisis efektivitas pemberian aromaterapi lemon diffuser (cytrus) dalam menurunkan tingkat nyeri pada ibu post sectio caesarea. Metode: Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan asuhan keperawatan dengan pengkajian, diagnosa, intervensi, implementasi, dan evaluasi pada pasien post sectio caesarea yang mengalami nyeri. Aromaterapi diberikan dengan diffuser 1 kali sehari selama 3 hari berturut-turut. Hasil: Setelah pemberian aromaterapi lemon, terjadi penurunan skala nyeri dari 6 dan 7 menjadi 2 berdasarkan penilaian Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) ditandai dengan, pasien tidak mengeluh nyeri berkurangnya, tidur lebih nyenyak, dan mampu melakukan mobilisasi ringan. Kesimpulan: Aromaterapi lemon diffuser (cytrus) efektif sebagai intervensi non-farmakologis untuk mengurangi nyeri post sectio caesarea dan meningkatkan kenyamanan pasien. | ||||||
