Abstract
Film is a mass media product that has a wide reach and is effective in conveying messages in signs that represent the ideology in it. Through a short film entitled ASA, it represents the social reality of the struggle of women who are victims of sexual violence against women with the various sufferings and problems they face. This research aims to find out how sexual violence is represented in various visual symbols in the short film "Asa" using Roland Barthes' semiotic approach. The paradigm used in this research is constructivism using semiotic analysis based on Roland Barthes' theory. The results of this research show that the representation of the struggles of victims of sexual violence is shown by visualizing forms of pressure from the family and outside. Apart from that, the phenomenon of victim blaming is also demonstrated by attitudes showing impartiality towards the victim. Until victims of sexual violence develop resilience to continue their future and live their lives.

| Additional Information: | Film merupakan salah satu produk media massa yang memiliki jangkauan luas dan efektif untuk menyampaikan pesan dalam tanda-tanda yang mewakili ideologi di dalamnya. Melalui film pendek berjudul ASA merepresentasikan realitas sosial perjuangan perempuan korban kekerasan seksual pada perempuan dengan berbagai penderitaan dan problematika yang dihadapinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kekerasan seksual direpresentasikan dalam berbagai simbol visual pada film pendek “Asa” dengan menggunakan pendekatan semiotika Roland Barthes. Paradigma yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah konstruktivisme dengan menggunakan analisis semiotik yang didasarkan pada teori Roland Barthes. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa representasi perjuangan korban kekerasan seksual ditunjukkan dengan visualisasi bentuk tekanan dari keluarga dan luar. Selain itu, fenomena victim blaming juga ditunjukkan dengan adanya sikap-sikap menunjukkan ketidakberpihakannya terhadap korban. Hingga korban kekerasan seksual melakukan resiliensi untuk kembali melanjutkan masa depan dan menjalani hidupnya. | ||||||
