Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between teacher-student attachment and the learning motivation of 3rd grade students at SDN Kaligandu Serang. Teacher-student attachment is considered to play an important role in shaping a learning environment that supports students’ psychological development and learning enthusiasm. This research employs a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The sample consisted of 40 third-grade elementary students. Data collection was carried out using a Guttman scale questionnaire that had undergone validity and reliability testing. Data analysis used the Pearson Product Moment correlation technique with the assistance of the SPSS program. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between teacher-student attachment and learning motivation, with a correlation value of 0.840, which falls under the very strong category. These findings indicate that the closer the attachment between teacher and student, the higher the student’s learning motivation. This research provides important implications for teachers, schools, and parents to pay attention to the quality of emotional relationships in efforts to improve students’ learning motivation.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kelekatan guru dengan siswa terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas 3 di SDN Kaligandu Serang. Kelekatan antara guru dan siswa dinilai memiliki peranan penting dalam membentuk lingkungan belajar yang mendukung perkembangan psikologis dan semangat belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini terdiri 40 siswa kelas 3 SD. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket skala Guttman yang telah melalui uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Analisis data menggunakan teknik korelasi Pearson Product Moment dengan bantuan program SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara kelekatan guru dengan siswa terhadap motivasi belajar, dengan nilai korelasi sebesar 0,840 yang termasuk kategori sangat kuat. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa semakin erat kelekatan antara guru dan siswa, maka semakin tinggi pula motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi penting bagi guru, sekolah, dan orang tua untuk memperhatikan kualitas hubungan emosional dalam upaya meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa.
