Abstract

Vocational education in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 demands the integration of innovative learning media that are relevant to industry needs. One of the challenges faced by vocational high schools (SMKs) is the limited availability of practical tools and interactive learning media, particularly in the instruction of precision measuring instruments such as the universal bevel protractor. This study aims to develop and assess the feasibility of a web-based learning media simulator for the universal bevel protractor at SMKN 8 Kota Serang. The development model used in this research is the waterfall model. The research subjects consisted of one teacher and 31 Grade XI students majoring in Industrial Mechanical Engineering, selected through purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires, and the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of the media expert validation showed a feasibility level of 76.6%, while the material expert validation reached 78.1%, both of which fall into the "very feasible" category. Furthermore, the trial results from the teacher yielded a score of 84.4%, and from the students 82.3%, indicating that this learning media is well-received and can be optimally utilized in the learning process. Thus, this web-based simulator learning media can serve as an alternative solution to overcome the limitations of practical facilities and enhance students’ understanding of precision measuring instruments.

Additional Information: Pendidikan vokasi di era Revolusi Industri 4.0 menuntut integrasi media pembelajaran yang inovatif dan relevan dengan kebutuhan industri. Salah satu kendala yang dihadapi oleh satuan pendidikan SMK adalah keterbatasan alat praktik dan media pembelajaran interaktif, khususnya dalam pembelajaran alat ukur presisi seperti universal bevel protractor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengukur tingkat kelayakan media pembelajaran berupa simulator alat ukur universal bevel protractor berbasis website di SMKN 8 Kota Serang. Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model waterfall. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari 1 orang guru dan 31 siswa kelas XI jurusan Teknik Mekanik Industri, dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket, dan data dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif. Hasil validasi dari ahli media menunjukkan tingkat kelayakan sebesar 76,6% dan dari ahli materi sebesar 78,1%, keduanya masuk dalam kategori "sangat layak". Selanjutnya, hasil uji coba oleh guru memperoleh nilai sebesar 84,4%, dan oleh siswa sebesar 82,3%, yang menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran ini dapat diterima dan dimanfaatkan secara optimal dalam proses pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, media pembelajaran simulator berbasis website ini dapat menjadi solusi alternatif dalam mengatasi keterbatasan sarana praktik serta meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap alat ukur presisi.
