Abstract
This research is based on the importance of the character of discipline in students. This study aims to provide an overview of the implementation of pencak silat extracurriculars in instilling the characterof discipline in fourth grade students. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The data that researchers got in the field used datacollection techniques, namely interviews, observation and documentation. The subjects of this study were pencak silat extracurricular teachers, fourth grade homeroom teachers and fourth grade students at SDN Karawaci Baru 1 Tangerang City. The results ofthis study indicate that the implementation of pencak silat extracurricular activities in instilling the character of student discipline can improve the discipline of students when school activities take place,including 1) discipline in dress, 2) discipline in terms of time, 3) discipline in worship, 4) discipline in study thing.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini didasarkan pada pentingnya karakter disiplin pada peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran mengenai implementasi ekstrakulikuler pencak silat dalam menanamkan karakter disiplin pada siswa kelas IV. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Data yang peneliti dapatkan di lapangan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru ekstrakulikuler pencak silat, wali kelas IV dan peserta didik kelas IV SDN Karawaci Baru 1 Kota Tangerang. Dari hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa implementasi ekstrakulikuler pencak silat dalam menanamkan karakter disiplin siswa dapat meningkatkan kedisiplinan peserta didik pada saat kegiatan sekolah berlangsung diantaranya yaitu 1) disiplin dalam berpakaian, 2) disiplin dalam hal waktu, 3) disiplin dalam beribadah, 4) disiplin dalam hal belajar. | |||||||||
