Abstract
Communication plays a vital role in community development, especially within digital creative communities where it serves as the foundation for collaboration, self-expression, and innovation. This study explores the communication practices within the Lulanalife community—a creative group that provides a safe and supportive space for its members to express themselves through activities such as journaling, open discussions, and workshops. The aim of this research is to identify the forms and characteristics of communication in the community, explore the challenges in creative communication, analyze member interactions, and evaluate the effectiveness of communication in fostering creativity. This research adopts a qualitative approach using a case study method, with data collected through observation and in-depth interviews. The findings reveal that communication within Lulanalife is participatory, inclusive, and reflective, playing a crucial role in building a sense of belonging, supporting individual expression, and facilitating creative collaboration. Challenges include the lack of a structured internal communication system and difficulties in maintaining digital engagement. Nevertheless, the community’s communication practices have proven effective in strengthening creative processes and expanding members’ social networks.

| Additional Information: | Komunikasi merupakan aspek penting dalam pembentukan komunitas, terutama dalam komunitas kreatif digital yang menjadikan komunikasi sebagai fondasi utama untuk menumbuhkan kolaborasi, ekspresi diri, dan inovasi. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi praktik komunikasi dalam komunitas Lulanalife, sebuah komunitas kreatif yang menyediakan ruang aman dan suportif bagi anggotanya untuk berekspresi melalui aktivitas seperti journaling, diskusi terbuka, dan workshop. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bentuk dan karakteristik komunikasi dalam komunitas, kendala dalam komunikasi kreatif, interaksi antar anggota, dan efektivitas komunikasi dalam mendukung pengembangan kreativitas. Pendekatan penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, serta pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi di Lulanalife bersifat partisipatif, inklusif, dan reflektif, serta berperan penting dalam membangun rasa memiliki, mendukung ekspresi individu, dan memfasilitasi kolaborasi kreatif. Beberapa kendala yang dihadapi antara lain tidak adanya sistem komunikasi internal yang terstruktur dan tantangan menjaga intensitas interaksi digital. Namun demikian, praktik komunikasi komunitas ini terbukti efektif dalam memperkuat proses kreatif dan memperluas jaringan sosial anggotanya. | ||||||
