Abstract

This study aims to explore students' learning motivation through the implementation of a game-based learning model in Grade III at SDN Kaliabang Tengah VII. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected using interviews, observation, and documentation techniques. The results of the study show that proper planning has a positive impact on achieving learning objectives aligned with students’ abilities. Students were actively engaged and showed high enthusiasm in mathematics learning. The games were designed in accordance with the learning objectives, enabling the teacher to create an enjoyable learning atmosphere. Students’ learning motivation was proven to increase based on the indicators used by the researcher, which include diligence in completing tasks, persistence, standing firm on opinions, strong self-confidence, and enjoyment in solving problems.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui motivasi belajar peserta didik dengan menerapkan model game based learning di III SDN Kaliabang Tengah VII. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah perencanaan yang tepat berdampak terhadap tujuan pembelajaran yang ingin dicapai sesuai dengan kemampuan peserta didik. peserta didik terlibat aktif dan memiliki antusias yang tinggi dalam pembelajaran matematika. Permainan yang dirancang sesuai dengan tujuan pembelajaran sehingga guru berhasil menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan bagi peserta didik. motivasi belajar peserta didik terbukti meningkat sesuai dengan indikator motivasi belajar yang peneliti gunakan yaitu rajin mengerjakan tugas, tidak mudah menyerah, berpegang teguh pada pendapatnya, kuat dalam keyakinan dan senang memecahkan soal-soal.
