Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of Google Slide learning media on the chronological thinking ability of Grade XI students at SMA Negeri 6 Kota Serang. The method used in this research is a quantitative quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The sampling technique in this study is purposive sampling, with a population of 171 people. The research was conducted on two clasess, namely XI-A3 with 44 students as the experimental class, and XI-A2 with 42 students as the control class. The results of the study are as follows: (1) there is an effect of using Google Slide learning media on the chronological thinking ability of Grade XI students at SMA Negeri 6 Kota Serang. The hypothesis testing using the two-tailed t-test with the polled variance formula using Ms. Excel obtained a t-count value of 0.45 ≥ t-table value of 1.66 with a significance level of 0.05, so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. (2) The chronological thinking ability of students who use Google Slide learning media is higher than that of students who use Canva. The average post-test score of the experimental class is 76.93, and the control class is 70.05. This shows that the experimental class has a higher average than the control class. This is not separated from the advantages of Google Slides media which are interactive, easily accessible online, and support effective collaboration and visualization of learning materials. Google Slides also enable teachers to embed relevant images, videos, animations, and links, thereby increasing students' interest and understanding of lesson materials, especially in developing chronological thinking ability. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the chronological thinking ability of students who use Google Slide learning media and those who use Canva. This indicates that the chronological thinking ability of students who use Google Slide is better than that of students who use Canva.

Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu purposive sampling dan jumlah populasi sebanyak 171 siswa. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada dua kelas, yaitu kelas XI-A3 berjumlah 44 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen, dan XI-A2 berjumlah 42 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Adapun hasil penelitian sebagai berikut: (1) terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran Google Slide terhadap kemampuan berpikir kronologis siswa kelas XI di SMA Negeri 6 Kota Serang. Pengujian hipotesis melalui uji t dua pihak dengan rumus polled varian menggunakan Ms. Excel, diperoleh nilai thitung sebesar 0,45 ≥ ttabel sebesar 1,66 dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05, maka H0 ditolak H1 diterima. (2) kemampuan berpikir kronologis siswa yang menggunakan media pembelajaran Google Slide lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang menggunakan canva. Perolehan rata-rata nilai posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 76,93, dan kelas kontrol sebesar 70,05. Menunjukkan bahwa kelas eksperimen memiliki rata-rata lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol. Hal ini tidak terlepas dari kelebihan media Google Slide yang bersifat interaktif, mudah diakses secara daring, serta mendukung kolaborasi dan visualisasi materi pembelajaran secara efektif. Google Slide juga memungkinkan guru untuk menyisipkan gambar, video, animasi, dan tautan yang relevan, sehingga mampu meningkatkan minat dan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi pelajaran, khususnya dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kronologis. Berdasarkan data hasil perhitungan tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan kemampuan berpikir kronologis perserta didik yang menggunakan media pembelajara Google Slide dengan peserta didik yang menggunakan media canva. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kronologis peserta didik yang menggunakan media Google Slide lebih baik daripada peserta didik yang menggunakan media canva. | |||||||||
