Abstract

The purpose of this study is to confirm and test the effect of leadership, quality assurance system, and lecturer integrity both directly and indirectly through the organizational climate of private universities in Banten Province. The research design uses a quantitative approach with descriptive verification, the research object consists of leadership, quality assurance system, lecturer integrity, organizational climate and organizational performance, while the subjects who are the unit of analysis are lecturers of private universities in Banten Province as many as 320 respondents. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and data processing through Amos v.24 software are used in data analysis techniques. The findings show that high leadership effectiveness does not necessarily affect the level of organizational performance, except by including other factors in the university as its supporting facilitators. This also applies to the effect of the quality assurance system on the organizational performance of the independent university. Lecturer integrity has a positive and significant effect on organizational performance. Leadership, quality assurance systems, and lecturer integrity each have a positive and significant effect on the organizational climate. The findings also prove that leadership, quality assurance systems, and lecturer integrity have a positive and significant effect on organizational performance through the organizational climate of private universities in Banten Province, both partially and simultaneously. The organizational climate has been proven to have a positive and significant mediation effect. The novelty of this research produces a performance model of private universities based on leadership, quality assurance systems and lecturer integrity, taking into account the crucial role of the organizational climate.

Desain penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan deskriptif verifikatif, objek penelitian terdiri dari kepemimpinan, sistem penjaminan mutu, integritas dosen, iklim organisasi dan kinerja organisasi, adapun subyek yang menjadi unit analisis adalah dosen Universitas Swasta di Provinsi Banten sebanyak 320 responden. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dan pengolahan data melalui software Amos v.24 digunakan dalam teknik analisis data. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingginya efektivitas kepemimpinan tidak selalu mempengaruhi tinggnya kinerja organisasi, kecuali dengan memasukan faktor lain dalam universitas sebagai fasilitator pendukungnya. Hal ini juga berlaku untuk pengaruh sistem penjaminan mutu terhadap kinerja organisasi universitas swasata. Integritas dosen berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja organisasi. Kepemimpinan, sistem penjaminan mutu, dan intergitas dosen masingmasing memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap iklim organisasi. Temuan juga membuktikan bahwa kepemimpinan, sistem penjaminan mutu, dan integritas dosen memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja organisasi melalui iklim organisasi universtitas swasta di Provinsi Banten, baik secara parsial maupun secara simultan. Iklim organisasi terbukti memiliki efek mediasi yang positif dan signifikan. Novelty penelitian ini menghasilkan sebuah model kinerja Universitas Swasta berbasis kepemimpinan, sistem penjaminan mutu dan integritas dosen, dengan mempertimbangkan peran krusial dari iklim organisasi.
