Abstract
At SMP Negeri 10 Tangerang City, the teaching of Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) for eighth grade students is still dominated by traditional methods that focus on the teacher. As a result, certain students find it difficult to fulfill the Minimum Competency Criteria (KKM). In accordance with the current curriculum's focus on active learning, there is a growing need for a learning approach that prioritizes students during the knowledge acquisition process. This research seeks to examine the effects of using the scientific method on student performance in the PPKn subject. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design consisting of two groups: class VIII.F acted as the control group, using conventional teaching methods, while class VIII.G represented the experimental group, taught through a scientific approach. Each group took part in a multiple-choice test to assess educational outcomes. The results were assessed through an independent samples t-test, showing a significant level. The two-tailed value of 0.000 is significantly less than the standard significance threshold of 0.05. This suggests that the academic approach has a significant and statistically relevant positive effect on student learning outcomes in the PPKn course. As a result, the alternative hypothesis (H₁) is validated, confirming the effectiveness of the scientific method, while the null hypothesis (H₀) is rejected. Systematic Approach, Learning Outcomes.

| Additional Information: | Pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 10 Kota Tangerang saat ini cenderung berorientasi pada pembelajaran yang dipimpin guru, sehingga mengakibatkan banyak siswa tidak mencapai kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM). Sesuai dengan tuntutan kurikulum yang ada, proses pembelajaran seharusnya berpusat pada siswa. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode saintifik terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada pelajaran PPKn. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui metode eksperimen semu, dengan melibatkan siswa kelas VIIIL.F sebagai kelompok kontrol dan siswa kelas VIIIL.G sebagai kelompok eksperimen. Kelompok uji menggunakan pendekatan saintifik dalam proses belajar mengajar. Sedangkan kelompok uji menerapkan metode konvensional. Penilaian hasil belajar dilakukan melalui ujian dengan soal pilihan ganda. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t, diperoleh nilai alsymp. Sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 yang berarti lebih kecil dari 0,05 (0,000 < 0,05). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa metode saintifik berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar PPKn siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 10 Kota Tangerang. Dengan demikian, hipotesis H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak.
