Abstract
Gender equality is an issue that continues to be fought for in various aspects of life, including issues of education, health, violence against women, and political involvement. In Banten Province, although there has been an increase in women's participation, gender inequality is still felt, especially in terms of women's representation in social and political matters. One of the media used by female DPRD members of Banten Province to voice their existence and struggle is through a digital platform, one of which is the Banten Podcast. This study aims to explore how the construction of gender equality is conveyed by female DPRD members through the podcast. The focus of the research is directed at issues of gender equality in the fields of education, health, violence against women, and women's involvement in politics. In addition, this study also examines how female DPRD members construct narratives of struggle and voice their rights amidst male dominance in legislative institutions, as well as how their real stories and personal experiences are constructed to raise public awareness regarding gender equality. Through the content analysis method of the Banten Podcast Channel, using the Theory of Social Reality Construction and the Theory of Mass Media Construction, this study is expected to contribute to understanding the role of new media in shaping public opinion and encouraging social change towards the creation of gender equality in Banten Province.

| Additional Information: | Kesetaraan gender merupakan isu yang terus diperjuangkan dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan, termasuk isu pendidikan, kesehatan, kekerasan terhadap perempuan, keterlibatan politik. Di Provinsi Banten, meskipun terdapat peningkatan partisipasi perempuan, ketimpangan gender masih terasa, terutama dalam hal keterwakilan perempuan disosial maupun politik. Salah satu media yang dimanfaatkan oleh anggota DPRD perempuan Provinsi Banten untuk menyuarakan eksistensi dan perjuangan mereka adalah melalui platform digital, salah satunya Banten Podcast. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana konstruksi kesetaraan gender disampaikan oleh anggota DPRD perempuan melalui podcast tersebut. Fokus penelitian diarahkan pada isu-isu kesetaraan gender dalam bidang pendidikan, kesehatan, kekerasan terhadap perempuan, serta keterlibatan perempuan dalam politik. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menelaah bagaimana para anggota DPRD perempuan membangun narasi perjuangan dan menyuarakan hakhak mereka di tengah dominasi laki-laki dalam lembaga legislatif, serta bagaimana kisah nyata dan pengalaman pribadi mereka dikonstruksi untuk menggugah kesadaran publik terkait kesetaraan gender. Melalui metode analisis isi terhadap Channel Banten Podcast, dengan menggunakan Teori Konstruksi Realitas Sosial dan Teori Konstruksi Media Massa, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam memahami peran media baru dalam membentuk opini publik dan mendorong perubahan sosial menuju terciptanya kesetaraan gender di Provinsi Banten. | ||||||
