Abstract
This study aims to analyze the impact of job training on employee performance with competence as a mediating variable. This quantitative research collected data through questionnaires, involving 72 employees of PD. Tunas Putra Mandiri using a saturated sampling technique. Data processing employed Partial Least Squares (PLS), including convergent validity testing, discriminant validity testing, and reliability testing. The analytical techniques used were path coefficient analysis, R-square testing, bootstrapping, and indirect effect testing. The findings of this study are as follows: (1) training has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a t-statistic value (3.593) > t-table (1.960) and a pvalue (0.000) < sig (0.05); (2) training has a positive and significant effect on competence with a t-statistic value (28.085) > t-table (1.960) and a p-value (0.000) < sig (0.05); (3) competence has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a t-statistic value (3.374) > t-table (1.960) and a pvalue (0.001) < sig (0.05); (4) competence significantly mediates the effect of training on employee performance with a t-statistic value (3.292) > t-table (1.960) and a p-value (0.001) < sig (0.05). Competence acts as a crucial link that mediates the process from training to actual job performance outcomes.

Teknik analisis yang digunakan anlisis koefisien jalur, pengujian R-square, bootstrapping, dan pengujian efek tidak langsung. Temuan dari penelitian ini adalah : (1) pelatihan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan nilai tstatistic (3.593) > t-tabel (1.960) dan nilai p-value (0.000) < sig (0.05), (2) pelatihan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kompetensi dengan nilai tstatistic (28.085) > t-tabel (1.960) dan nilai p-value (0.000) < sig (0.05), (3) kompetensi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan nilai t-statistic (3.374) > t-tabel (1.960) dan nilai p-value (0.001) < sig (0.05), (4) kompetensi secara signifikan memediasi pengaruh pelatihan terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan nilai t-statistic (3.292) > t-tabel (1.960) dan nilai p-value (0.001) < sig (0.05).
