Abstract
The development of social behavior in early childhood requires special attention, considering that children aged 5-6 are in their golden age, where everything they experience will influence their future development. Therefore, teachers and parents must provide appropriate stimulation and learning to optimize their growth and development. Moreover, character crises such as bullying, harsh words, and lack of cleanliness are still prevalent among children. This study aims to investigate the implementation of storytelling methods in developing social behavior in children aged 5-6 at RA Al-Hanif. This qualitative study uses a descriptive approach, collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects are children aged 5-6 at RA Al-Hanif. The results show that storytelling is conducted regularly and structurally, using stories of prophets to convey noble moral values. Children demonstrate developed social behaviors such as empathy, responsibility, politeness, and cooperation. Teachers play a crucial role in selecting suitable stories and delivering them expressively. Supporting factors include teacher competence, availability of learning media, and a conducive classroom environment. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include differences in children's characteristics and a less conducive classroom environment.

| Additional Information: | Pengembangan perilaku sosial pada anak usia dini harus mendapat perhatian khusus, mengingat usia 5–6 tahun sedang dalam masa keemasan (golden age), di mana segala sesuatu yang terekam oleh anak akan berpengaruh pada usia selanjutnya. Maka, pada fase ini guru dan orang tua harus memberikan stimulasi dan pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan usia anak, agar pertumbuhan dan perkembangaanya berjalan dengan optimal. Selain itu, krisis karakter dalam diri anak bangsa masih banyak dijumpai seperti perundungan, berkata kasar dengan teman, dan tidak menjaga kebersihan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan metode bercerita dalam pengembangan perilaku sosial anak usia 5–6 tahun di RA Al-Hanif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini anak usia 5-6 tahun di RA Al-Hanif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan metode bercerita dilakukan secara rutin dan terstruktur, dengan menggunakan kisah-kisah Nabi sebagai media penyampaian nilai akhlak mulia. Anak-anak menunjukkan perilaku sosial yang berkembang seperti empati, tanggung jawab, sopan santun, dan kerja sama. Peran guru sangat penting dalam memilih cerita yang sesuai dan menyampaikannya dengan ekspresif. Faktor pendukung meliputi kemampuan guru, ketersediaan media pembelajaran dan lingkungan kelas yang kondusif. Sedangkan faktor penghambat antara lain perbedaan karakteristik anak dan lingkungan kelas yang kurang kondusif. | |||||||||
