Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the PBL model with the help of Geogebra on students' mathematical critical thinking skills in terms of self regulated. This study is a quasi-experimental study using a 3x2 factorial design with the object of the study being students of SMPN 2 Rangkasbitung consisting of ten classes. Then two classes were selected by cluster random sampling as research samples. One experimental class used the PBL model with the help of Geogebra and one control class used the PBL model without the help of Geogebra. The research instrument used a self regulated questionnaire instrument and a mathematical critical thinking ability test. Data analysis in this study used two-way ANOVA. The results of the data analysis show that: 1) The critical thinking ability of students with the PBL learning model with the help of Geogebra is better than students with the PBL learning model without the help of Geogebra, 2) There is no interaction between the PBL learning model and self regulated learning, 3) At high self regulated, the critical thinking ability of students with the PBL learning model with the help of Geogebra is not better than students with the PBL learning model without the help of Geogebra, 4) At moderate self regulated, the critical thinking ability of students with the PBL learning model with the help of Geogebra is better than students with the PBL learning model without the help of Geogebra, 5) At low self regulated, the critical thinking ability of students with the PBL learning model with the help of Geogebra is better than students with the PBL learning model without the help of Geogebra.

Additional Information: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model PBL dengan bantuan Geogebra terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa ditinjau dari kemandirian belajar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen yang menggunakan desain faktorial 3x2 dengan objek penelitian adalah siswa-siswi SMPN 2 Rangkasbitung yang terdiri dari sepuluh kelas. Lalu dua kelas dipilih secara cluster random sampling sebagai sampel penelitian. Satu kelas eksperimen menggunakan model PBL dengan bantuan Geogebra serta satu kelas kontrol menggunakan model PBL tanpa bantuan Geogebra. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan instrumen angket kemandirian belajar dan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan ANOVA dua jalan. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan model pembelajaran PBL dengan bantuan Geogebra lebih baik daripada siswa dengan model pembelajaran PBL tanpa bantuan Geogebra, 2) Tidak terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran PBL dengan kemandirian belajar, 3) Pada kemandirian belajar tinggi kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan model pembelajaran PBL dengan bantuan Geogebra tidak lebih baik daripada siswa dengan model pembelajaran PBL tanpa bantuan Geogebra, 4) Pada kemandirian belajar sedang kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan model pembelajaran PBL dengan bantuan Geogebra lebih baik daripada siswa dengan model pembelajaran PBL tanpa bantuan Geogebra, 5) Pada kemandirian belajar rendah kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan model pembelajaran PBL dengan bantuan Geogebra lebih baik daripada siswa dengan model pembelajaran PBL tanpa bantuan Geogebra.
