Abstract
The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum emphasizes the importance of developing students who are not only academically competent but also embody the character values of Pancasila, one of which is learning independence. Although efforts to foster independent learning have been carried out through the Discovery Learning model, interviews with science teachers and grade VII students at a junior high school in Bekasi Regency revealed that students still face challenges in cultivating their independence. Moreover, limited laboratory facilities hinder the execution of practicums that support conceptual understanding, particularly in physics. In response to these issues, this study aims to: (1) determine the validity of an E-Booklet product designed to promote student learning independence on the topics of Temperature, Heat, and Expansion for grade VII, and (2) assess student responses to the developed EBooklet. The research employs a Research and Development (R&D) methodology using the ADDIE model, which includes the phases of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The overall validation percentage collected via expert review questionnaires reached 86.75%, categorized as “Highly Valid.” Additionally, student feedback collected through response surveys yielded an 86.81% rating with a “Very Good” classification. These results indicate that the developed E-Booklet is suitable as an interactive alternative learning resource that optimally supports conceptual understanding and facilitates student learning independence.

| Additional Information: | Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka menekankan pentingnya membentuk siswa yang tidak hanya cerdas secara akademis, tetapi juga memiliki karakter yang sesuai dengan nilai-nilai Pancasila, salah satunya adalah kemandirian dalam belajar. Meskipun upaya pengembangan pembelajaran mandiri telah dilakukan melalui model Discovery Learning, hasil wawancara dengan guru IPA dan siswa di salah satu SMP di Kabupaten Bekasi menunjukkan bahwa siswa masih mengalami kendala dalam mengembangkan kemandiriannya. Selain itu, keterbatasan fasilitas laboratorium menghambat pelaksanaan praktikum yang mendukung pemahaman konsep, khususnya pada materi fisika. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan: (1) untuk mengetahui validitas produk E-Booklet berbasis kemandirian belajar siswa pada materi Suhu, Kalor, dan Pemuaian kelas VII, dan (2) untuk mengetahui respon siswa terhadap E-Booklet yang dikembangkan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang memiliki tahapan Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation dan Evaluation. Hasil persentase validasi secara keseluruhan yang dikumpulkan melalui angket validasi mencapai skor 86,75% dengan kriteria “Sangat Valid”. Selain itu, tanggapan siswa yang dikumpulkan melalui angket respon siswa menghasilkan persentase sebesar 86,81% dengan kategori “Sangat Baik”. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa E-Booklet yang dikembangkan layak digunakan sebagai sumber belajar alternatif yang interaktif dan mendukung pemahaman konsep secara optimal serta memfasilitasi kemandirian belajar siswa. | |||||||||
