Abstract
This research aimed to analyze the effect of differences in the distance of LED lamp illumination and the use of planting media on the growth of curly red chili seedlings (Capsicum annum L. Var. Laju F1).This research was conducted in Kp. Pondok jati, Jl. Japos Raya, West Jurangmangu, Pondok Aren District, South Tangerang City, Banten Province in October-November 2024. This study was designed using a split-plot design with 2 factors and 3 replications. The main plot was the distance of the LED light (L) which consists of three levels namely 10 cm (L1), 20 cm (L2), and 30 cm (L3). The sub plot was the use planting media (M) which consists of three levels namely land (M0), rice husk charcoal (M1), dan cocopeat (M3). The results of the study showed that the difference in the distance of the LED lights affected the growth of the height of curly red chili seedlings 5-20 HSS, the diameter of the stem of curly red chili seedlings 10-20 HSS, the number of leaves of curly red chili seedlings 15-20 HSS, the width of the leaves of curly red chili seedlings 5-20 HSS, the total wet weight of curly red chili seedlings, and the wet weight of the crown of curly red chili seedlings. The difference in planting media affected the growth of the height of curly red chili seedlings 10-20 HSS, the diameter of the stem of curly red chili seedlings 15-20 HSS, the number of leaves of curly red chili seedlings 15-20 HSS, the width of the leaves of curly red chili seedlings 5-20 HSS, the total wet weight of curly red chili seedlings, and the wet weight of the crown of curly red chili seedlings. In addition, the results of the study showed that there was an interaction between the distance of the LED lights and the planting media on the height of curly red chili seedlings, the total wet weight of curly red chili seedlings, and the wet weight of the crown of curly red chili seedlings.

Additional Information: | Cabai merah keriting (Capsicum annum L. Var. Laju F1) merupakan salah satu tanaman hortikultura yang paling banyak diproduksi dan dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat Indonesia. Penggunaan cahaya yang baik dapat mempengaruhi penyemaian untuk menghasilkan bibit cabai merah keriting dengan kualitas yang baik. Maka dari itu penggunaan cahaya bantuan melalui penyinaran lampu LED bisa menjadi salah satu pilihan yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan persemaian dari benih bibit cabai merah keriting yang tersmasuk kedalam tanaman hortikultura. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa pengaruh perbedaan jarak penyinaran lampu LED dan penggunaan media tanam terhadap pertumbuhan bibit cabai merah keriting (Capsicum annum L. Var. Laju F1). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kp. Pondok jati, Jl. Japos Raya, Jurangmangu Barat, Kecamatan Pondok Aren, Kota Tangerang Selatan, Provinsi Banten pada bulan Oktober-November 2024. Penelitian ini dirancang menggunakan Split-plot Design dengan 2 faktor (jarak lampu dan LED media tanam) sebanyak 3 ulangan. Petak utama sebagai faktor pertama adalah jarak lampu LED (L) yang terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu 10 cm, 20 cm, dan 30 cm. Anak petak sebagai faktor kedua adalah media tanam (M) yang terdiri dari 3 jenis yaitu tanah (M0), arang sekam (M1), dan cocopeat (M2). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan jarak lampu LED memberikan pengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan tinggi bibit tanaman 5 – 20 HSS, diameter batang bibit tanaman 10 – 20 HSS, jumlah daun bibit tanaman 15 – 20 HSS, lebar daun bibit tanaman 5 – 20 HSS, bobot basah total bibit tanaman, dan bobot basah tajuk bibit tanaman. Perbedaan media tanam memberikan pengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan tinggi bibit tanaman 10 – 20 HSS, diameter batang 15 – 20 HSS, jumlah daun bibit tanaman 15 – 20 HSS, lebar daun bibit tanaman 5 – 20 HSS, bobot basah total bibit tanaman, dan bobot basah tajuk bibit tanaman. Selain itu, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat interaksi antara jarak lampu LED dan media tanam terhadap tinggi bibit tanaman cabai merah keriting, bobot basah total bibit tanaman cabai merah keriting, dan bobot basah tajuk bibit tanaman cabai merah keriting. | |||||||||
