Abstract
This research aims to find out how group communication occurs on the MLGC community discord social media. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The concepts used are Group Communication to assist the research process. Using interview research techniques, participant observation, and document study. The results of this research show that group communication is carried out by members of the MLGC community on Discord social media in the form of arranging strategies to win matches in the Dota 2 game through the Discord social media feature, namely voice chat. Apart from arranging strategies, members also discuss with each other about the game. memes, and anime. Community members also apply one of the functions of group communication, namely problem solving, where they help each other when they experience problems, be it technical problems or internal problems in the real world. 2. Members of the MLGC community also feel changes in the way they communicate in real life due to frequent group communication with fellow gamers. This has fulfilled one of the functions of group communication, namely supporting physical growth, emotional development, or changing a person's life in the same direction. better.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana Komunikasi kelompok yang terjadi di media sosial discord komunitas MLGC. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Konsep yang digunakan adalah Komunikasi Kelompok dalam membatu proses penelitian. Dengan menggunakan Teknik penelitian wawancara, observasi partisipasi, dan studi dokumen. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan Komunikasi kelompok yang dilakukan oleh para anggota komunitas MLGC di media sosial discord berupa mengatur strategi agar dapat memenangkan pertandingan di game dota 2 melalui fitur media sosial discord yaitu voice chat, selain mengatur strategi para anggota juga berdiskusi dengan sesama seputar game, memes, dan anime. para anggota komunitas juga menerapkan salah satu fungsi dari komunikasi kelompok yaitu pemecahan maslah, dimana mereka saling membantu ketika mengalami masalah baik itu masalah teknis hingga masalah internal di dunia nyata. 2. Para anggota komunitas MLGC pun merasakan perubahan terhadap cara berkomunikasi di kehidupan nyata akibat seringnya melakukan komunikasi kelompok dengan sesama gamer Hal ini telah memenuhi salah satu fungsi dari komunikasi kelompok yaitu Mendukung petumbuhan secara fisik, perkembangan emosional, atau perubahan seseorang hidup seseorang ke arah yang lebih baik. | |||||||||
