Abstract
This study aims to determine the Flashcard’s effectiveness in teaching vocabulary mastery in the 7th grade of SMP Al-Manshuriyah Jakarta. This research used a quantitative approach as the research method by implementing a quasi-experimental research design. The population in this study were students of class 7 SMP Al-Manshuriyah Jakarta and took 57 students as a sample divided into two classes. The researcher used cluster random sampling to choose the class, and the researcher obtained VII-4 as the experimental class and VII-1 as the control class. The researcher used instruments pre-test and post-test. The post-test average of the experimental group is higher than the control group (82.61 > 68.59). It means that the Flashcard effectively increase the student’s vocabulary mastery in 7th grade of SMP Al-Manshuriyah Jakarta.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media flashcard dalam pengajaran penguasaan kosakata pada siswa kelas 7 SMP Al-Manshuriyah Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menerapkan desain penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi-experimental). Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas 7 SMP Al-Manshuriyah Jakarta, dengan sampel sebanyak 57 siswa yang dibagi menjadi dua kelas. Peneliti menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling untuk menentukan kelas, sehingga diperoleh kelas VII-4 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII-1 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes awal (pre-test) dan tes akhir (post-test). Rata-rata nilai post-test kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol (82,61 > 68,59). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan flashcard efektif dalam meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata siswa kelas 7 SMP Al-Manshuriyah Jakarta. | |||||||||
