Abstract
This study aims to analyze the implementation of the internship practice method and its impact on improving interns’ technical skills at PT Asahimas Chemical. A qualitative descriptive approach was used, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The study focuses on how the internship program contributes concretely to the development of job‑relevant technical competencies. Findings Implementation of the Internship Method a. Needs & Problem Identification The company assesses each intern’s initial interests and abilities to align task assignments. b. Program Design The internship is structured systematically, from orientation and formal training to on‑the‑job practice. c. Program Execution (Monitoring & Coaching) Interns are guided directly by experienced mentors to ensure that tasks meet established standards. d. Program Evaluation Performance is evaluated based on interns’ engagement, accuracy, and task completion. e. Follow‑up Activities High‑performing interns are recommended for recruitment or given opportunities to engage in further projects. f. Application & Improvement Interns apply their skills to real work and demonstrate improved capabilities—for example, being entrusted to manage the monthly attendance recap independently. Skill Improvements Technical Skill: Interns learn to operate the HR system and understand standard procedures. Example: Accurately inputting employee data into the SAP HR system. Human Skill: Interns develop teamwork, communication, and adaptability. Example: Coordinating with the legal department to process BPJS (social security) documents. Conceptual Skill: Interns grasp overall workflows and propose effective solutions. Example: Identifying errors in data recaps and recommending improvements to the reporting process.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan metode praktek kerja magang serta dampaknya terhadap peningkatan keterampilan teknis peserta magang di PT Asahimas Chemical. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah bagaimana implementasi kegiatan magang memberikan kontribusi nyata terhadap pengembangan kompetensi teknis yang relevan dengan bidang kerja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1.) Penerapan metode magang yang diterapkan di PT Asahimas Chemical telah dimulai dari a.) Identifikasi Kebutuhan & Masalah Perusahaan melakukan identifikasi minat dan kemampuan awal peserta untuk menyesuaikan penempatan tugas selama magang. b)Penyusunan Kegiatan Program Magang Kegiatan magang dirancang secara sistematis, mulai dari orientasi, pelatihan, hingga praktik kerja lapangan. c) Pelaksanaan Kegiatan Magang (Pemantauan & Pembinaan) Selama magang, peserta dibimbing langsung oleh mentor untuk memastikan tugas berjalan sesuai standar. d) Penilaian Kegiatan Magang Evaluasi dilakukan berdasarkan keaktifan, ketelitian, dan kemampuan menyelesaikan tugas. e) Tindak Lanjut Kegiatan Magang Peserta yang menunjukkan performa baik mendapat rekomendasi untuk direkrut atau dilibatkan lebih jauh. f) Penerapan dan Peningkatan Peserta menerapkan keterampilan dalam tugas nyata dan mengalami peningkatan kemampuan kerja. Seperti Peserta dipercaya menangani rekap absensi bulanan secara mandiri. (2).Hasil Peningkatan Techincal Skill dengan Peserta mampu mengoperasikan sistem HR dan memahami prosedur kerja. Seperti: Praktikan Mampu menginput data ke dalam sistem SAP HR dengan benar. hasil Peningkatan Dari Human skill dengan Peserta mampu bekerja sama, berkomunikasi, dan beradaptasi dalam tim kerja. seperti: Berkoordinasi dengan bagian legal untuk pengurusan dokumen BPJS. Dan dari Peningkatan Conceptual skill Peserta dapat memahami alur kerja dan memberi solusi atas kendala yang dihadapi. Seperti: Menyadari kesalahan rekap data dan mengusulkan perbaikan cara pelaporan. | |||||||||
