Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of group counseling with behavioral contract technique in reducing off-task behavior in class VIII students of SMPN 30 Kota Tangerang. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Single Subject Research (SSR) experimental method with an A-B-A design. The research subjects consisted of four students who showed high levels of off-task behavior. The behavioral contract technique was applied in group counseling sessions to encourage more positive and targeted behavioral changes. The results showed a significant decrease in the frequency of off-task behavior, both verbally, motorically, and passively, after the intervention. Visual analysis between conditions strengthens the finding that behavioral contract techniques in group settings are effective in changing student behavior towards a more adaptive direction. The implications of this study indicate that a group counseling approach with behavioral contract techniques can be an applicable strategic alternative for BK teachers in dealing with disruptive behavior in the classroom, as well as supporting the improvement of the quality of learning in junior high schools

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konseling kelompok dengan teknik kontrak perilaku dalam mereduksi perilaku off-task pada siswa kelas VIII SMPN 30 Kota Tangerang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen Single Subject Research (SSR) desain A-B-A. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari empat siswa yang menunjukkan tingkat perilaku off-task tinggi. Teknik kontrak perilaku diterapkan dalam sesi konseling kelompok untuk mendorong perubahan perilaku yang lebih positif dan terarah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya penurunan signifikan terhadap frekuensi perilaku off-task, baik secara verbal, motorik, maupun pasif, setelah dilakukan intervensi. Analisis visual antar kondisi memperkuat temuan bahwa teknik kontrak perilaku dalam setting kelompok efektif mengubah perilaku siswa menuju arah yang lebih adaptif. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan konseling kelompok dengan teknik kontrak perilaku dapat menjadi alternatif strategis yang aplikatif bagi guru BK dalam menangani perilaku mengganggu di kelas, serta mendukung peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah menengah pertama. | |||||||||
