Abstract

This study aims to develop a self-help book to enhance students' understanding of child grooming. The research employed a Research & Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which includes Analyze, Design, Development, and Evaluation stages. The subjects of this study were VII and VIII students at MTsS Jambe who are vulnerable to becoming victims of child grooming, selected using purposive sampling techniques. In the development process, a product feasibility test was conducted by experts, including media and content experts, language experts, and practitioners. The results of the feasibility test showed that media and content experts rated it at 85% (Highly Feasible), language experts at 92% (Highly Feasible), and practitioners at 95% (Highly Feasible), resulting in an average overall score of 90%, which falls into the "Highly Feasible" category for implementation. In addition, a limited trial was conducted through a student response questionnaire, with content feasibility scoring 95% (Highly Feasible), presentation feasibility 91% (Highly Feasible), and language feasibility 88% (Highly Feasible), resulting in an average score of 91%, also categorized as "Highly Feasible." The results of the pretest and posttest also indicated an increase in students' understanding of child grooming. Therefore, the self-help book developed by the researcher is deemed both feasible and effective as an innovative medium in guidance and counseling services to improve students’ understanding of child grooming in VII and VIII at MTsS Jambe.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan self help book dalam membantu meningkatkan pemahaman child grooming pada siswa. Metode penelitian menggunakan Research & Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE, yang meliputi Analyze, Design, Development, dan Evaluation. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII dan VIII MTsS Jambe yang rentan menjadi korban child grooming dengan teknik purposive sampling. Dalam pengembangannya, dilakukan uji kelayakan produk yang dilakukan oleh para ahli, meliputi ahli media dan materi, ahli bahasa, dan praktisi. Hasil dari uji kelayakan produk yang dilakukan para ahli yaitu ahli media dan materi 85% (Sangat Layak), ahli bahasa 92% (Sangat Layak), dan praktisi 95% (Sangat Layak). Sehingga total skor rata-rata dari seluruh penilaian yaitu 90% dalam kategori “Sangat Layak” untuk diimplementasikan. Selain itu dilakukan uji coba terbatas melalui angket respon siswa dengan hasil kelayakan isi 95% (Sangat Layak), kelayakan penyajian 91% (Sangat Layak), dan kelayakan bahasa 88% (Sangat Layak). Sehingga total skor rata-rata senilai 91% dalam kategori “Sangat Layak”. Hasil pretest dan posttest juga menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman child grooming yaitu 75% siswa mendapatkan nilai dengan kategori tinggi dan kategori sedang 25% siswa sehingga self help book child grooming yang sudah dikembangkan oleh peneliti dinyatakan layak dan efektif digunakan sebagai media inovatif dalam layanan bimbingan dan konseling untuk meningkatkan pemahaman child grooming pada siswa kelas VII dan VIII MTsS Jambe.
