Abstract

The vaping product retail industry has shown significant growth in recent years. However, in the midst of increasing market demand, employee performance at PT Sentra Jaya Sejahtera has fluctuated significantly. This condition indicates the need for an appropriate strategy to improve employee performance through identifying the factors that influence it. This study aims to analyse the effect of work life balance on employee performance with the role of burnout and organizational commitment as intervening variables. This research uses a quantitative approach with a population of 100 respondents who are all employees of PT Sentra Jaya Sejahtera. Data analysis was carried out using the Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) method with the help of SmartPLS 4.0 software: 1) Work life balance has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, 2) Work life balance has a positive effect on burnout, 3) Burnout has a negative effect on employee performance, 4) Work life balance has a positive effect on organizational commitment, 5) Organizational commitment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, 6) Burnout mediates the effect of work life balance on employee performance, 7) Organizational commitment mediates the effect of work life balance on employee performance.

Additional Information: Industri retail produk vaping menunjukkan pertumbuhan yang signifikan dalam beberapa tahun terakhir. Namun, di tengah peningkatan permintaan pasar, kinerja karyawan (employee performance) di PT. Sentra Jaya Sejahtera justru mengalami fluktuasi yang cukup mencolok. Kondisi ini menunjukkan perlunya strategi yang tepat untuk meningkatkan kinerja karyawan melalui identifikasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh work life balance terhadap employee performance dengan peran burnout dan organizational commitment sebagai variabel intervening. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan populasi sebanyak 100 responden yang merupakan seluruh karyawan PT. Sentra Jaya Sejahtera. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan metode Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) dengan bantuan software SmartPLS 4.0.Hasil Penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa: 1) Work life balance berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap employee performance, 2) Work life balance berpengaruh positif terhadap burnout, 3) Burnout berpengaruh negatif terhadap employee performance, 4) Work life balance berpengaruh positif terhadap organizational commitment, 5) Organizational commitment berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap employee performance, 6) Burnout memediasi pengaruh work life balance terhadap employee performance, 7) Commitmen organizational memediasi pengaruh work life balance terhadap employee performance
