Abstract
Oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) production has experienced fluctuating declines and increases from year to year. The selection of good and superior seedlings is a key factor in improving oil palm productivity. The use of NPK 16-16-16 fertilizer and Boron fertilizer is one way to support the growth of oil palm plants in the nursery stage. This study aims to determine the early growth response of several oil palm varieties (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) to different combinations of NPK and Boron fertilization. The experimental design used was a factorial Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) consisting of two factors: variety and NPK-Boron fertilizer combination. The first factor, variety (V), consisted of three levels: DxP Avros (V1), DxP Yangambi (V2), and DxP 540 (V3). The second factor, NPK-Boron fertilizer combination (K), consisted of four levels: 0 g/300 ml water (K0), NPK 2.5 g + Boron 0.5 g/300 ml water (K1), NPK 5 g + Boron 0.75 g/300 ml water (K2), and NPK 7.5 g + Boron 1 g/300 ml water (K3). The results showed that the DxP Yangambi variety had the best effect on plant height, stem diameter, canopy width, leaf area, chlorophyll content, and fresh plant weight. The combination of NPK 2.5 g + Boron 0.5 g/300 ml water had the most significant effect on plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, canopy width, leaf area, chlorophyll content, fresh weight, and dry weight of the plant. An interaction effect was observed on the canopy width parameter at 2 weeks after planting, particularly with the treatment combination V2K2.

| Additional Information: | Produksi kelapa sawit (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) mengalami fluktuasi dari tahun ke tahun. Pemilihan bibit unggul merupakan faktor kunci dalam meningkatkan produktivitas. Penggunaan pupuk NPK 16-16-16 dan Boron menjadi salah satu cara mendukung pertumbuhan tanaman kelapa sawit pada tahap pembibitan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respons pertumbuhan awal beberapa varietas kelapa sawit terhadap kombinasi pemupukan NPK dan Boron yang berbeda. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial dengan dua faktor, yaitu varietas dan kombinasi pupuk NPK-Boron. Faktor pertama adalah varietas (V) yang terdiri atas tiga taraf: DxP Avros (V1), DxP Yangambi (V2), dan DxP 540 (V3). Faktor kedua adalah kombinasi pupuk NPK-Boron (K) dengan empat taraf: 0 g/300 ml air (K0), NPK 2,5 g + Boron 0,5 g (K1), NPK 5 g + Boron 0,75 g (K2), dan NPK 7,5 g + Boron 1 g/300 ml air (K3). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa varietas DxP Yangambi memberikan hasil terbaik pada tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, lebar tajuk, luas daun, kandungan klorofil, dan bobot segar tanaman. Kombinasi pupuk NPK 2,5 g + Boron 0,5 g menunjukkan pengaruh paling signifikan terhadap hampir seluruh parameter pertumbuhan. Interaksi antara varietas dan kombinasi pupuk berpengaruh nyata terhadap lebar tajuk pada dua minggu setelah tanam, khususnya pada kombinasi perlakuan V2K2. | |||||||||
