Abstract
This research investigates the efficiency and sustainability challenges in carton box production at plant 3 of PT. XYZ, which experience a production shortfall of 12,2% againts its target and a product defect rate of 4,23%. The objective of this study is to analyze the level of sustainability efficiency, identify root causes of waste, and develop improvement strategies. The method used is Sustainable Value Stream Mapping (Sus-VSM) integrated with ishikawa diagram analysis and the 5W+1H method to formulate solutions. The current state analysis shows good performance in the environmental dimension, but weaknesses in the economic and social dimensions. The efficiency for the Value Added Time (VAT) indicator was found to be 58,48% for product 1 and 54,49% for product 2, with defect rates of 4% for product 1 and 5% for product 2. The main causes of waste were identified in human factors (lack of operator precision), machine factors (inaccurate calibration and machine age), and material factors (ink viscosity and paper mositure). Based on the analysis, improvement proposals were formulated and mapped in a future state map. The implementation of these improvements is porjected to increase VAT to 64,17% for product 1 and 60,15% for product 2, as well reduce the product defect rate to 1,58%.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis tingkat efisiensi keberlanjutan, mengidentifikasi akar penyebab pemborosan (waste), dan menyusun strategi perbaikan. Metode yang digunakan adalah Sustainable Value Stream Mapping (SusVSM) yang terintegrasi dengan analisis diagram ishikawa dan 5W+1H untuk merumuskan solusi. Hasil analisis current state menunjukkan kinerja yang baik pada dimensi lingkungan, namun terdapat kelemahan pada dimensi ekonomi dan sosial. Efisiensi untuk indikator Value Added Time (VAT) ditemukan sebesar 58,48% untuk produk 1 dan 54,49% untuk produk 2, serta tingkat cacat 4% untuk produk 1 dan 5% untuk produk 2. Penyebab utama pemborosan teridentifikasi pada faktor manusia (kurangnya ketelitian operator), mesin (kalibrasi tidak akurat dan usia mesin), serta material (viskositas tinta dan kelembaban kertas). Berdasarkan analisis, dirumuskan usulan perbaikan yang dipetakan dalam future state map. Implementasi perbaikan ini diproyeksikan mampu meningkatkan VAT menjadi 64,17% untuk produk 1 dan 60,15% untuk produk 2, serta menekan tingkat cacat produk hingga mencapai 1,58%. | |||||||||
