Abstract
This study aims to describe 1) Describe Public Perception of News in Online Media Post Covid-19 Pandemic. 2) Describe public understanding of Civic Knowledge.The research method used in this study is the Descriptive Method with a Qualitative approach.Data collection using Observation, Interviews, and Documentation.The research results show that people still show diverse attitudes in responding to information circulating digitally.Many people receive information from social media such as WhatsApp, Facebook, and YouTube without verifying it first.Their perception of the news is determined by trust in the sender of the message and the level of emotional closeness, not on the validity of the content of the news itself.Public understanding of Civic Knowledge is still limited, both in terms of recognizing rights and obligations as citizens, understanding the government system, and in actively participating in socio-political life. | Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan 1) Mendeskripsikan Persepsi Masyarakat terhadap Berita di Media Online Pasca Pandemi Covid-19. 2) Mendeskripsikan pemahaman masyarakat terhadap Civic Knowledge Pasca Pandemi Covid 19. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah menggunakan Metode Deskriptif dengan pendekatan Kualitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan Observasi, Wawancara, dan Dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa masyarakat masih menunjukkan sikap yang beragam dalam menyikapi informasi yang beredar secara digital. Banyak warga menerima informasi dari media sosial seperti WhatsApp, Facebook, dan YouTube tanpa melakukan verifikasi terlebih dahulu. Persepsi mereka terhadap berita ditentukan oleh kepercayaan terhadap pengirim pesan dan tingkat kedekatan emosional, bukan pada validitas isi berita itu sendiri. Pemahaman masyarakat terhadap Civic Knowledge Pasca Pandemi Covid 19 mengalami perkembangan. Warga tidak hanya memahami hak-hak seperti akses pendidikan dan kesehatan, tetapi juga menunjukkan kesadaran dalam melaksanakan kewajiban sebagai warga negara, seperti mengikuti pemilu, bergotong royong, berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan desa, dan membantu menyebarkan informasi yang benar.
