Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine how the implementation of school culture in instilling the character of students of SMP Negeri 1 Kota Serang. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach to describe the problems and focus of the study with data collection conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the implementation of school culture in instilling the character of students of SMP Negeri 1 Kota Serang regarding the implementation of schools and character instillation in the implementation of SMP Negeri 1 Kota Serang schools is carried out well and every day becomes a good habit of schools with character so that good character is embedded in students. The supporting and inhibiting factors that occur include, adequate facilities and infrastructure but need in terms of novel reading books, they students still understand but there are some students who are not yet in accordance so they must continue to be, understand there are still some who have not synergized but need to be with each other fellow educators and most parents understand and support the implementation of schools but there are still some who are not in accordance so they need to be reminded continuously by educators. | Additional Information: | Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui bagaimana implementasi budaya sekolah dalam menanamkan karakter peserta didik SMP Negeri 1 Kota Serang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif untuk mendeskripsikan permasalahan dan fokus penelitian dengan pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa implementasi budaya sekolah dalam menanamkan karakter peserta didik SMP Negeri 1 Kota Serang mengenai pelaksanaan budaya sekolah dan penanaman karakter dalam pelaksanaan budaya sekolah SMP Negeri 1 Kota Serang dilakukan dengan baik dan konsisten setiap harinya menjadi kebiasaan baik sekolah yang berkarakter sehingga tertanam karakter baik dalam diri peserta didik adapun faktor pendukung dan penghambat yang terjadi diantaranya, sarana prasarana memadai namun perlu ditingkatkan dari segi buku bacaan novel, mayoritas peserta didik memahami namun masih ada beberapa peserta didik yang belum sesuai sehingga harus terus diingatkan, mayoritas pendidik paham namun masih ada beberapa yang belum bersinergi sehingga perlu saling mengingatkan satu sama lain sesama pendidik dan mayoritas orang tua wali murid paham serta mendukung adanya pelaksanaan budaya sekolah namun masih ada yang belum sesuai sehingga perlu untuk diingatkan secara berlanjut oleh pendidik.
