Abstract

Pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) is a nutrient-rich vegetable containing essential vitamins such as A, C, And K, as well as important minerals. Soil fertility issues often pose challenges in pakcoy cultivation. Therefore, more efficient and environmentally friendly cultivation techniques are needed. The used of biofertilizers, such as photosynthetic bacteria, can enhance soil fertility without disrupting ecosystem balance. This study aimed to determine the growth response and yield of pakcoy to different concentrations and application methods of bio fertilizer containing photosynthetic bacteria. This study uses a factorial randomized complete block design with two factors: the concentration of photosynthetic bacterial bio fertilizer (12.5 mL/L, 15.0 mL/L, 17.5 mL/L, and 20.0 mL/L) and the application method (on leaves, on roots, and on both leaves + roots). The results showed that a concentration of 12.5 mL/L photosynthetic bacterial biofertilizer influenced plant height, leaf number, and shoot-to-root ratio. Application of the biofertilizer on leaves affected dry weight, fresh weight, and leaf greenness index. The concentration of 12.5 mL/L applied to both leaves and roots showed an interaction with plant height.

Additional Information: Pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) adalah sayuran yang kaya nutrisi dan mengandung vitamin penting seperti A, C, dan K, serta mineral yang esensial. Masalah kesuburan tanah sering kali menjadi tantangan dalam budidaya pakcoy. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan teknik budidaya yang lebih efisien dan ramah lingkungan. Penggunaan pupuk hayati, seperti bakteri fotosintetik, dapat meningkatkan kesuburan tanah tanpa mengganggu keseimbangan ekosistem. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respons pertumbuhan dan hasil panen pakcoy terhadap berbagai konsentrasi dan metode aplikasi pupuk hayati yang mengandung bakteri fotosintetik. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial dengan dua faktor: konsentrasi pupuk hayati bakteri fotosintetik (12,5 mL/L, 15,0 mL/L, 17,5 mL/L, dan 20,0 mL/L) dan metode aplikasi (pada daun, pada akar, serta pada daun + akar). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi 12,5 mL/L pupuk hayati bakteri fotosintetik berpengaruh terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan nisbah pupus-akar. Aplikasi pupuk hayati pada daun berpengaruh terhadap bobot kering, bobot segar, dan indeks kehijauan daun. Konsentrasi 12,5 mL/L yang diaplikasikan pada daun dan akar menunjukkan interaksi terhadap tinggi tanaman.
