Abstract
This study tested the application of gamma rays dosage on two varieties of aren (Arenga pinnata Merr.) to get the best growth rate with drought stressed planting media. This research was conducted from September 2024 to May 2025 in the Greenhouse of Experimental Garden, Faculty of Agriculture, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University. This research used a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD). The first factor was the dose of gama rays (B) which consists of 5 levels, namely 0 gy, 4 gy, 6 gy, 8 gy, 10 gy. The second factor was palm variety (V) which consists of 2 levels: Parasi (V1) and local Lebak (V2). The results showed that gamma ray doses of B1 (4 gy) and B2 (6 gy) had the best effect on leaf width. However, these doses did not significantly affect plant height, leaf width, or leaf greenness. The palm varieties (V) Parasi (V1) and local Lebak (V2) did not significantly affect plant height, leaf width, number of leaves, or leaf greenness. There was no interaction between gamma ray dose treatment (B) and sugar palm variety (V) on plant height, leaf width, number of leaves, and leaf greenness.

Penelitian ini dilakukan dari September 2024 hingga Mei 2025 di Rumah Kaca Kebun Percobaan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan faktorial Blok Acak (RBD). Faktor pertama adalah dosis sinar gamma (B) yang terdiri dari 5 tingkat, yaitu 0 gy, 4 gy, 6 gy, 8 gy, dan 10 gy. Faktor kedua adalah varietas aren (V) yang terdiri dari 2 tingkat: Parasi (V1) dan lokal Lebak (V2). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dosis sinar gamma B1 (4 gy) dan B2 (6 gy) memiliki efek terbaik pada lebar daun. Namun, dosis ini tidak secara signifikan mempengaruhi tinggi tanaman, lebar daun, atau kekayaan warna daun. Varietas kelapa sawit (V) Parasi (V1) dan lokal Lebak (V2) tidak secara signifikan mempengaruhi tinggi tanaman, lebar daun, jumlah daun, atau kekayaan warna daun. Tidak ada interaksi antara perlakuan dosis sinar gamma (B) dan varietas kelapa gula (V) terhadap tinggi tanaman, lebar daun, jumlah daun, dan kekayaan warna hijau daun. | |||||||||
