Abstract
With these knitting skills, hearing-impaired students at SKh Negeri 01 Cilegon City at the high school and junior high school levels are expected to be useful in the future after graduation and are hoped to be more independent after learning handicrafts, which means they can sell the products made by the students. In this era, crochet keychains are highly sought after by many people. This research aims to enhance vocational skills in crocheting keychains using the explicit instruction method in its implementation. The research uses an experimental method with a quantitative approach of one group pre-test and post-test, and is analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. The research subjects are hearing-impaired students at SKh Negeri 01 Cilegon City, totaling 4 individuals. The data collection techniques used were in the form of tests, observations, and documentation. The vocational skills learning is part of an effort to develop the potential possessed by students, which can be directed into business opportunities after they graduate from school. The explicit instruction method applied in this study was conducted repeatedly and gradually so that students could more easily understand the stages of the learning provided. Based on the results of data analysis using the Wilcoxon test, it shows that Thitung = 0, with the basis of the Wilcoxon test at 0.05 and a sample size of N=4, Ttabel = 0 is obtained. Therefore, at that time, H0 is rejected because Thitung = Ttabel, which means 0=0, indicating that the hypothesis proposed in this study can be accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the explicit instruction method has an impact on improving vocational skills in knitting keychains among hearing-impaired children at SKh Negeri 01 Cilegon City.

| Additional Information: | Dengan keterampilan merajut ini peserta didik anak tunarungu di SKh Negeri 01 Kota Cilegon pada jenjang SMA dan SMP diharapkan bisa berguna dimasa depan setelah tamat sekolah dan diharapkan lebih bisa mandiri setelah mempelajari kerajinan tangan yaitu dapat menjual hasil produk yang telah dibuat oleh peserta didik dan pada era ini keychain chorchet banyak diminati oleh banyak kalangan. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan vokasional merajut keychain dengan menggunakan metode explicit instruction dalam penerapannya. Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif one group pre-test and post-test, serta dianalisa menggunakan uji wilcoxon. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa tunarungu di SKh Negeri 01 Kota Cilegon dengan jumlah 4 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam berbentuk tes, observasi dan dokumentasi. Pembelajaran keterampilan vokasional ini merupakan bagian dari upaya untuk mengembangkan potensi yang dimiliki siswa yang dapat diarahkan menjadi peluang usaha setelah siswa lulus sekolah. Metode explicit instruction yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini dilakukan secara berulang dan bertahap agar siswa lebih mudah memahami tahapan pembelajaran yang diberikan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dengan menggunakan uji wilcoxon menunjukkan bahwa Thitung = 0, dengan dasar uji wilcoxon 0,05 dan jumlah sampel N=4, maka diperoleh Ttabel = 0, maka pada saat itu, H0 ditolak karena Thitung = Ttabel yaitu 0=0, maka artinya hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini dapat diterima. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode explicit instruction berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan keterampilan vokasional merajut keychain pada anak tunarungu di SKh Negeri 01 Kota Cilegon. | |||||||||
