Abstract
Gradual and proper emotional development is very important for every child, including children with disabilities. The poor emotional development is caused by many factors, one of which is bullying, an action that has a traumatic impact on children. Bullying is a common occurrence in society, but it has a significant impact on the emotional development of the victims. Among several films that represent or explain the reality of the impact of bullying on hearing-impaired children, there is the Japanese animated film 'Koe no Katachi' or in English titled A Silent Voice. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this research aims to interpret how the representation of bullying impacts the emotional development of hearing-impaired children in the film A Silent Voice. The data collection technique uses documentation and literature study of scenes in the film A Silent Voice based on theoretical foundations. Data analysis uses semiotics developed by Charles Sanders Peirce, namely representamen, object, interpretant. Based on the analysis results, it can be concluded that the film A Silent Voice has an impact on emotional control, socio-emotional aspects, and self-harm. The impact on the emotional development experienced by bullying victims is clearly shown in how they feel less confident, sad, and even have a desire to self-harm. With every scene in the film A Silent Voice, there is also an implied meaning that the filmmakers want to convey to the audience, highlighting the importance of caring about bullying actions and the impact felt by the characters in the film A Silent Voice

Additional Information: | Perkembangan emosional secara bertahap dengan baik sangat penting bagi setiap anak tanpa terkecuali anak disabilitas. Tidak baiknya perkembangan emosional diakibatkan banyak hal salah satunya yaitu perundungan tindakan yang memberikan dampak berupa trauma pada anak. Tindakan perundungan merupakan hal yang tidak asing pada lingkungan masyarakat namun memiliki dampak yang sangat besar bagi korban terhadap perkembangan emosionalnya. Dari beberapa film yang merepresentasikan atau menjelaskan makna realitas dari dampak perundungan terhadap anak tunarungu yaitu, film animasi Jepang ‘Koe no Katachi’ atau dalam bahasa Inggris berjudul A Silent Voice. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaknai bagaimana representasi dampak perundungan terhadap perkembangan emosional anak disabilitas tunarungu pada film A Silent Voice. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan dokumentasi dan studi Pustaka terhadap scene pada film A Silent Voice berdasarkan landasan teori. Analisis data menggunakan semiotika yang dikembangkan oleh Charles Sanders Peirce, yaitu representamen, object, interpretant. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, dapat disimpulkan jika film A Silent Voice ditemukan dampak terhadap mengontrol emosional, sosial emosional dan menyakiti diri sendiri. Dampak terhadap perkembangan emosional yang dirasakan korban perundungan sangat diperlihatkan bagaimana dirinya merasa kurang percaya dir, sedih , dan hingga berkeinginan menyakiti diri. Dengan setiap adegan film A Silent Voice, juga memiliki makna tersirat yang ingin disampaikan oleh pembuat film kepada penonton, bagaimana pentingnya peduli terhadap tindakan perundungan dengan dampak yang dirasakan tokoh karakter pada film A Silent Voice. | |||||||||
