Abstract

This research was conducted to develop AR-based learning media that can help improve students' understanding of the concept of biogeochemical cycles in class X of SMAN 1 Pontang. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The instruments used include material and media expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, observation sheets, and concept comprehension tests. The results of the study show that the AR media development process produces products that are suitable for use in learning, based on the validation results of material and media experts who stated that the media is in the category of very feasible/very valid with a percentage of 95.15%. AR media is also considered practical by teachers and students, because it is easy to use and in accordance with learning needs. The effectiveness of AR media can be seen from the increase in students' concept comprehension scores after learning with an N-Gain score of 0.58 which is in the medium category. This shows that there is a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores. Overall student learning outcomes were in the medium category, and students' responses to media use showed a very positive attitude with a percentage of 87.83%. Thus, the augmented reality learning media developed is declared feasible, practical, and effective in improving understanding of the concept of biogeochemical cycles in grade X students of SMAN 1 Pontang, as well as providing a more fun and interesting learning experience.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis AR yang dapat membantu meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep daur biogeokimia di kelas X SMAN 1 Pontang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi lembar validasi ahli materi dan media, angket respon siswa, lembar observasi, serta tes pemahaman konsep. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses pengembangan media AR menghasilkan produk yang layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran, berdasarkan hasil validasi dari ahli materi dan media yang menyatakan media dalam kategori sangat layak/sangat valid dengan persentase sebesar 95,15%. Media AR juga dinilai praktis oleh guru dan siswa, karena mudah digunakan dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pembelajaran. Efektivitas media AR terlihat dari peningkatan skor pemahaman konsep siswa setelah pembelajaran dengan skor N-Gain sebesar 0,58 yang termasuk kategori sedang. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara nilai pretest dan posttest. Hasil belajar siswa secara keseluruhan berada pada kategori sedang, dan respon siswa terhadap penggunaan media menunjukkan sikap yang sangat positif dengan persentase sebesar 87,83%. Dengan demikian, media pembelajaran augmented reality yang dikembangkan dinyatakan layak, praktis, dan efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep daur biogeokimia pada siswa kelas X SMAN 1 Pontang, serta memberikan pengalaman belajar yang lebih menyenangkan dan menarik.
