Abstract

This study aims to discuss ecofeminism on Pari Island in relation to the phenomenon of climate change caused by corporations/companies in order to fight for living space and livelihoods. This study looks at the perspective of the Pari Island Women's Group regarding climate change and the struggles they face through Creswell's phenomenological research approach. This study uses Shiva and Mies' Social-Transformative Ecofeminism theory as an analytical tool through the Subsistence Perspective with five (5) indicators, namely economic activities that are not only aimed at generating money, increased participation from the grassroots level, involving community-based actions based on scientific knowledge, rejecting the privatisation of public property, and cooperation between women and men. The results of the research indicate that climate change is perceived as detrimental and burdensome, as its impacts significantly affect the economy. The disruption of their livelihoods has caused them hardship and losses. The struggle of the Pari Island Women's Group is seen as an effort to preserve and defend their home/Pari Island. The impacts of climate change threaten their living space and livelihoods, leading to the formulation of the struggle undertaken by the Women's Group of Pari Island. Ecofeminism on Pari Island has fostered a harmonious relationship between humans and nature, with women and men collaborating to take responsibility for the environment under the Subsistence Perspective principle.

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk membahas terkait ekofeminisme di Pulau Pari atas adanya fenomena perubahan iklim yang disebabkan oleh korporasi/perusahaan untuk memperjuangkan ruang hidup dan penghidupan. Dalam penelitian ini melihat perspektif pemaknaan dari Kelompok Perempuan Pulau Pari terkait perubahan iklim serta perjuangan yang dilakukan melalui pendekatan fenomenologi penelitian milik Creswell. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Ekofeminisme Sosial-Transformatif Shiva dan Mies sebagai pisau analisis melalui Subsistence Perspective dengan lima (5) indikator, yaitu kegiatan ekonomi memiliki tujuan bukan hanya untuk menghasilkan uang, peningkatan partisipasi dari akar rumput, melibatkan tindakan pasitipastoris masyarakat yang didasarkan oleh ilmu pengetahuan, menolak adanya privatisasi milik publik, dan adanya kerjasama antara perempuan dan laki-laki. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan perubahan iklim dianggap hal yang merugikan dan menyusahkan, karena dampak yang mereka rasakan sangat berpengaruh terhadap perekonomian. Matapencaharian mereka yang terganggu membuat mereka menjadi susah dan mendapatkan kerugian. Pemaknaan perjuangan oleh Kelompok Perempuan Pulau Pari adalah suatu hal untuk mempertahankan dan memperjuangkan terhadap tempat tinggal mereka/Pulau Pari. Dampak yang diberikan oleh perubahan iklim membuat ruang hidup dan kehidupan mereka menjadi terancam, sehingga terformulasikan perjuangan yang dilakukan oleh Kelompok Perempuan Pulau Pari. Ekofeminisme di Pulau Pari telah terjalin hubungan baik dan harmonis antara manusia dan alam, kerjasama perempuan serta laki-laki untuk bertanggung jawab terhadap alam dalam prinsip Subsistence Perspective .
