Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of work-life balance (X) on turnover intention (Y), with job satisfaction (Z) as the intervening variable. The method used is a quantitative descriptive approach with a saturated sampling technique, meaning the entire population was used as the sample. Data were collected through a questionnaire using an interval scale and involved 73 millennial employees of PT Nikomas Gemilang, C2B Production Division. Data analysis was conducted using SmartPLS version 4.1.1.2. The results showed that: (1) work-life balance has a negative and significant effect on turnover intention, with a t-statistic value of (2.377 > 1.96) and p-value (0.018 < 0.05); (2) work-life balance has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, with a t-statistic value of (2.230 > 1.96) and p-value (0.026 < 0.05); (3) job satisfaction does not have a significant effect on turnover intention, with a t-statistic value of (0.657 < 1.96) and p-value (0.511 > 0.05); and (4) job satisfaction does not mediate the effect of work-life balance on turnover intention, with a t-statistic value of (0.591 < 1.65) and p-value (0.555 > 0.05). These findings indicate that work-life balance directly plays an important role in reducing the turnover intention of millennial employees; however, job satisfaction does not significantly mediate this relationship.

Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu work life balance berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap turnover intention dengan nilai t-statistik (2,377 > 1,96) dan pvalues (0,018 < 0,05),work life balance berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja dengan nilai t-statistik (2,230 > 1,96) dan p-values (0,026 < 0,05), (3) kepuasan kerja tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap turnover intention dengan nilai t-statistik (0,657 < 1,96) dan p-values (0,511 > 0,05), kepuasan kerja tidak memediasi pengaruh work life balance terhadap turnover intention dengan nilai tstatistik (0,591 < 1,65) dan p-values (0,555> 0,05). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa work life balance secara langsung berperan penting dalam menurunkan niat keluar karyawan milenial, namun kepuasan kerja tidak memiliki peran signifikan sebagai mediator dalam hubungan tersebut.
