Abstract

Carbon emissions are a global challenge that affects almost all countries, including developing countries, thus requiring sustainable development. This initiative began with the Paris Agreement, which requires participating countries to set temperature limitation targets for climate change mitigation, in line with SDG 13 on climate action. In supporting the transition to sustainable development, various countries have adopted a green economy. This study aims to analyze the impact of Green Bonds and Trade Product Low-Carbon Technology as green economy instruments, as well as Financial Development and Foreign Direct Investment on carbon emissions during the period 2017–2021. The method used is the Generalized Method of Moments (GMM). The results of the study indicate that Green Bonds and Trade Product Low-Carbon Technology have a significant negative impact on carbon emissions, while Financial Development and Foreign Direct Investment have a significant positive impact on carbon emissions. Overall, all independent variables have an impact on carbon emissions.
