Abstract

Measuring sugar content in beverages is essential to ensure product quality and safety. Conventional methods using refractometers are intrusive and require direct contact, which may cause contamination. In this study, a non-intrusive sugar content measuring device was developed using a capacitive sensor. An XR2206 was used as a signal generator, amplified by a TL071, and transmitted to the sensor. The sensor output was read using the ADS1115 ADC. The device was calibrated using polynomial regression by comparing the sensor output to actual sugar concentrations. The resulting calibration factor is y = 0,001579x² - 2,809239x + 1233,22. Based on testing, the device can measure sugar content with an accuracy of 97,31%. and an error margin of approximately 2,69% compared to a refractometer. This device also offers advantages in efficiency and hygiene, as it does not require direct contact with the tested liquid. It can be applied to various types of beverages with different sugar levels.
