Abstract
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) face several challenges in their implementation, particularly SDG 8 on decent work and economic growth, including layoffs, a decline in the middle class, and the dominance of the informal sector. Banten Province has the highest unemployment rate and lowest employment rate nationally, exacerbated by an increase in the proportion of informal workers and industrial relocation. This study aims to analyze the influence of variables such as GDP, minimum wage, foreign direct investment (FDI), domestic investment, the informal sector, and human development index (HDI) on the Employment Opportunity Rate (EOR) in Banten Province and its relationship with the implementation of SDG 8. The analysis method used is panel data regression. The results of the study found that the GDP and HDI variables have a positive and significant influence on the EOR in Banten Province. The minimum wage variable has a negative and significant influence. FDI and DDI are negatively and insignificantly related, while the informal sector has a positively and insignificantly related impact. Job creation in Banten Province is related to the implementation of SDG 8, with GRDP and HDI supporting targets 8.1, 8.2, 8.5, and 8.6 related to economic growth, productivity, and human resource development. The results of UMK, PMA, PMDN, and the informal sector reflect the suboptimal direction of investment and labor policies supporting targets 8.2, 8.3, and 8.5. Therefore, a more targeted strategy is needed in labor-intensive investment, skill enhancement, and labor formalization to achieve the objectives in line with SDG 8.

| Additional Information: | Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) dalam implementasinya menghadapi beberapa tantangan, khususnya SDG 8 tentang pekerjaan layak dan pertumbuhan ekonomi, di antaranya PHK, penurunan kelas menengah, dan dominasi sektor informal. Provinsi Banten menjadi provinsi dengan tingkat pengangguran tertinggi dan tingkat kesempatan kerja terendah secara nasional, diperburuk dengan peningkatan proporsi pekerja informal dan relokasi industri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh variabel PDRB, UMK, PMA, PMDN, sektor informal, dan IPM terhadap Tingkat Kesempatan Kerja (TKK) di Provinsi Banten dan keterkaitannya dengan implementasi SDG 8. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi data panel. Dari hasil penelitian, ditemukan variabel PDRB dan IPM positif signifikan mempengaruhi TKK di Provinsi Banten. Variabel UMK negatif signifikan. PMA dan PMDN negatif dan tidak signifikan, sementara sektor informal memiliki pengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan. Penciptaan lapangan kerja di Provinsi Banten memiliki keterkaitan dengan implementasi SDG 8, PDRB dan IPM mendukung target 8.1, 8.2, 8.5 dan 8.6 terkait pertumbuhan ekonomi, produktivitas, dan peningkatan kualitas SDM. Hasil UMK, PMA, PMDN, dan sektor informal mencerminkan belum optimalnya arah investasi dan kebijakan ketenagakerjaan yang mendukung target 8.2, 8.3 dan 8.5. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan strategi yang lebih terarah dalam investasi padat karya, peningkatan keterampilan, serta formalisasi tenaga kerja untuk mewujudkan tujuan sesuai SDG 8. | |||||||||
