Abstract

Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) is a type of legume belonging to the Fabaceae family or legume crops. According to data from the Central Bureau of Statistics, peanut production has experienced fluctuations. This is mainly due to the declining quality of agricultural land caused by the excessive use of chemical fertilizers. The application of solid organic fertilizers such as frass maggot (also known as kasgot, a by-product of maggot rearing) and the addition of biofertilizers containing mycorrhizae can be a solution to reduce chemical fertilizer use. This research was conducted to determine the appropriate doses of frass maggot organic fertilizer and mycorrhizal biofertilizer that influence the growth and yield of peanut plants (Arachis hypogaea L.). The study took place at the Agricultural Instrument Standardization Implementation Center (BPSIP) in Serang, Banten. The experimental design used was a factorial randomized block design. The first factor was the dose of frass maggot organic fertilizer consisting of four levels: 0 g/polybag (K0), 10 tons/ha (281.7 g/polybag) (K1), 15 tons/ha (422.4 g/polybag) (K2), and 20 tons/ha (563.3 g/polybag) (K3). The second factor was the dose of mycorrhizal biofertilizer, also with four levels: 0 g/polybag (P0), 2.5 g/polybag (P1), 5 g/polybag (P2), and 7.5 g/polybag (P3). Each treatment was repeated three times, resulting in 48 experimental units, with each unit consisting of 2 polybags, totaling 96 peanut seeds planted. The results showed that the application of frass maggot organic fertilizer had a significant effect on plant height at 2 Weeks After Planting (WAP) with the highest average of 12,06 cm (K0), at 3 WAP with the highest average of 16,11 cm (K0), flowering time with the fastest flowering at 26,25 days after planting (K0), and the number of seeds with the highest average of 115,09 seeds (K3). Meanwhile, the application of mycorrhizal biofertilizer showed no significant effect on any of the observed parameters.

Additional Information: Kacang tanah merupakan jenis tanaman legum termasuk kedalam anggota suku Fabaceae atau tanaman polong-polongan. Berdasarkan Badan Pusat Statistik produksi tanaman kacang tanah mengalami fluktuasi. Hal tersebut disebabkan karena kualitas lahan pertanian yang menurun akibat pengunaan pupuk kimia secara berlebihan. Penggunaan pupuk organik padat seperti frass maggot atau bekas maggot (kasgot) dan penambahan dosis pupuk hayati yang mengandung mikoriza dapat menjadi solusi untuk mengurangi penggunaan pupuk kimia. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui dosis pupuk organik frass maggot dan dosis pupuk hayati mikoriza yang berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kacang tanah yang dilakukan di Balai Penerapan Standarisasi Instrumen Pertanian (BPSIP) Serang, Banten. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu rancangan acak kelompok faktorial dengan faktor pertama adalah dosis pupuk organik frass maggot yang terdiri dari 4 level taraf, yaitu kontrol, 10 ton/ha (281,7 g/polybag) (K1), 15 ton/ha (422,4 g/polybag) (K2), 20 ton/ha (563,3 g/polybag) (K3) dan faktor kedua adalah dosis pupuk hayati mikoriza yang terdiri dari 4 level taraf, yaitu kontrol (P0), 2,5 g/polybag (P1), 5 g/polybag (P2), 7,5 g/polybag (P3). Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali, sehingga diperoleh 48 satuan percobaan, setiap satuan percobaan terdiri dari 2 polybag, sehingga jumlah benih kacang tanah yang ditanam sebanyak 96 polybag. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan pupuk organik frass maggot berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter tinggi tanaman 2 MST dengan rata-rata hasil tertinggi sebesar 12,06 cm (K0) dan 3 MST dengan rata-rata hasil tertinggi 16,11 cm (K0), umur berbunga dengan rata-rata hasil paling cepat berbunga 26,25 HST (K0), dan jumlah biji dengan rata-rata hasil tertinggi sebesar 115,09 biji (K3). Sedangkan perlakuan pupuk hayati mikoriza memberikan hasil tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap semua parameter.
