Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine, (1) the effect of the experience of introducing the school field partially on the readiness to become a teacher in students, (2) the effect of Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) competence partially on the readiness to become a teacher in students, (3) the effect of the experience of introducing the school field (PLP) and Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) competence simultaneously and significantly on the readiness to become a teacher in students. This type of research is ex post facto with a quantitative approach. This research was conducted at the Department of Mechanical Engineering Vocational Education, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University using questionnaires distributed to Mechanical Engineering Vocational Education students class of 2021. The number of samples used in this study amounted to 48 students with saturated sampling technique. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics and regression. The conclusions in this study are (1) there is a positive influence between the School Field Introduction Experience variable on the readiness of students to become teachers with a contribution of 80.9%, (2) there is a positive influence between Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) competencies on student readiness to become teachers with a contribution of 69.1%, (3) there is a simultaneous positive and significant influence between the School Field Introduction experience (PLP) and TPACK (Technology, Pedagogical, and Content Knowledge) competencies on student readiness to become teachers with a contribution value of 81.1%.

Jenis penelitian ini adalah ex post facto dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di jurusan Pendidikan Vokasional Teknik Mesin Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa menggunakan kuisioner yang disebar pada mahasiswa Pendidikan Vokasional Teknik Mesin angkatan 2021. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berjumlah 48 mahasiswa dengan teknik sampling jenuh. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan regresi. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini adalah (1) terdapat pengaruh positif antara variabel Pengalaman Pengenalan Lapangan Persekolahan terhadap kesiapan mahasiswa menjadi guru dengan kontribusi sebesar 80,9%, (2) terdapat pengaruh positif antara kompetensi Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) terhadap kesiapan mahasiswa menjadi guru dengan kontribusi sebesar 69,1%, (3) terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan secara simultan antara pengalaman Pengenalan Lapangan Persekolahan (PLP) dan kompetensi TPACK (Technology, Pedagogical, and Content Knowledge) terhadap kesiapan menjadi guru pada mahasiswa dengan nilai kontribusi sebesar 81,1%.
