Abstract
The research entitled Parasocial Interaction of Kpop Fandom Briize on Social Media X looks at the phenomenon of Korean popular culture which is growing so that it has many fans spread throughout the world, including Indonesia. The number of Kpop fans in Indonesia will form a variety of behaviors shown by Kpop fans so that the stages of how fans idolize Kpop artists can be assessed. Briize is a term for fans of a South Korean group called RIIZE. This study aims to determine how parasocial interactions occur in the Briize fandom. This research is studied using the Parasocial Interaction theory of Donald Horton and R. Richard Wohl. The method used in this research is qualitative with a phenomenological approach and using interview techniques with three informants. The results of this study indicate that the three informants who are Briize are at the lowest stage and level in idolizing, namely obsessive non pathological in parasocial interaction. This is because the three informants still have rational thinking and are able to place themselves as fans who support their idols in a healthy way, not by becoming fans who do things that can harm and even endanger many parties including their own idols.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian yang berjudul Interaksi Parasosial Fandom Kpop Briize di Media Sosial X ini melihat dari fenomena budaya populer Korea yang semakin berkembang sehingga memiliki banyak penggemar yang tersebar di seluruh dunia, termasuk Indonesia. Banyaknya penggemar Kpop di Indonesia akan membentuk beragam perilaku yang ditunjukkan oleh penggemar Kpop sehingga dapat dinilai tahapan bagaimana para penggemar melakukan pengidolaan terhadap artis Kpop. Briize merupakan sebutan untuk penggemar dari grup asal Korea Selatan Bernama RIIZE. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana interaksi parasosial yang terjadi pada fandom Briize. Penelitian ini dikaji dengan menggunakan teori Interaksi Parasosial dari Donald Horton dan R. Richard Wohl. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi dan menggunakan teknik wawancara dengan tiga orang informan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ketiga informan yang merupakan seorang Briize berada pada tahapan dan tingkatan terendah dalam melakukan pengidolaan yaitu obsessive non pathological dalam interaksi parasosial. Hal ini dikarenakan ketiga informan masih memiliki pemikiran yang rasional dan mampu menempatkan diri sebagai seorang penggemar yang mendukung idolanya secara sehat, tidak dengan menjadi penggemar yang melakukan hal-hal yang dapat merugikan dan bahkan membahayakan banyak pihak termasuk idola mereka sendiri. | |||||||||
