Abstract
Background With the rapid development of the industry, market demand is increasing and this is an opportunity for manufacturing industry players. The demand to achieve production targets to maintain customer satisfaction causes an increase in workload at certain times. Good sleep quality contributes to reducing the risk of trauma and accidents caused by lack of sleep and fatigue, especially accidents in the workplace. This study discusses the relationship between psychological stress and work stress in employees at a company located in Tangerang, Banten. Methods The approach taken in this study was a cross sectional study with consecutive sampling to determine the relationship between psychological stress and employee sleep quality at PT X and the relationship between work stress and employee sleep quality at PT X through filling out questionnaires. Results This study shows that most employees experience poor sleep quality (83.6%). The majority of respondents (83.6%) had normal levels of psychological stress. The frequency distribution of work stress shows 47% of employees experience moderate work stress and 53% of employees with mild work stress. Conclusion The results of statistical analysis showed no significant relationship between psychological stress with employee sleep quality (p = 0.160) and work stress with employee sleep quality with employee sleep quality (p = 0.118).
