Abstract

Duty scheduling is a crucial routine activity to ensure the smooth operation of student organizations such as the Industrial Engineering Student Association (HMTI) at Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University. However, its implementation often faces conflicts between duty schedules and academic or personal commitments of the members, and it fails to consider the comfort and safety of female members. This study aims to compare the effectiveness of manual scheduling with scheduling using a mathematical model based on Integer Linear Programming (ILP). The results show that the manual schedule received a preference score of 219, with two schedule conflicts and no consideration for female members' comfort. In contrast, the mathematical scheduling models produced more optimal results: Model 1 achieved a preference score of 339 with no conflicts but without considering female comfort, while Model 2 achieved a score of 335 with no conflicts and did consider female comfort. Therefore, the second mathematical model is considered the most effective solution for HMTI duty scheduling, as it accommodates member preferences, avoids scheduling conflicts, and addresses safety concerns.

Additional Information: Penjadwalan piket merupakan salah satu kegiatan rutin yang penting dalam menjaga kelangsungan operasional organisasi kemahasiswaan, seperti Himpunan Mahasiswa Teknik Industri (HMTI) Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. Namun, dalam pelaksanaannya sering terjadi bentrokan antara jadwal piket dengan kegiatan akademik maupun aktivitas lainnya dari para pengurus, serta belum mempertimbangkan aspek kenyamanan dan keamanan, khususnya bagi pengurus wanita. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan efektivitas penjadwalan piket secara manual dengan penjadwalan menggunakan model matematika berbasis Integer Linear Programming (ILP). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penjadwalan manual memperoleh bobot preferensi sebesar 219 dengan dua bentrok jadwal dan tanpa mempertimbangkan kenyamanan pengurus wanita. Sementara itu, penjadwalan menggunakan model matematika memberikan hasil lebih optimal, yaitu bobot preferensi sebesar 339 tanpa bentrokan jadwal (model 1) dan 335 tanpa bentrokan jadwal serta mempertimbangkan kenyamanan pengurus wanita (model 2). Dengan demikian, model matematika 2 dipandang sebagai solusi terbaik untuk penjadwalan piket HMTI karena mampu mengakomodasi preferensi, menghindari konflik jadwal, serta memperhatikan aspek keamanan pengurus.
