Abstract
This study examines the effect of leaflets on the knowledge of curly red chili farmers regarding the benefits of using mulch in Cimenteng Jaya Village, Cibadak District, Lebak Regency. Agriculture is an important sector in the Indonesian economy, with chili peppers (Capsicum annuum) being one of the high-value commodities. Despite significant chili pepper production, farmers face challenges due to limited access to modern agricultural techniques and information. The objective of this study is to analyze the impact of leaflet media on the knowledge of curly red chili farmers regarding the benefits of using mulch. This study employs a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, using a pretest-posttest control group method. Data were collected from primary and secondary sources, with farmers from the Berkah Makmur and Mulya Tani groups as the sample. The study will be limited to a specific time period. Data collection will be conducted through questionnaires, and the research location will be in Cimenteng Jaya Village. The data will be analyzed to test the hypothesis for the group that received the intervention and to compare the average scores before and after the conventional extension, as well as the average scores before and after the agricultural extension using leaflets, with a score range of 0-15. The results of this study show that Asymp Sig (2-tailed) has a value of 0.001 < 0.05, so it can be concluded that Ha is accepted, meaning that there is an effect of knowledge after the extension was provided

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh brosur terhadap pengetahuan petani cabai merah keriting mengenai manfaat penggunaan mulsa di Desa Cimenteng Jaya, Kecamatan Cibadak, Kabupaten Lebak. Pertanian merupakan sektor penting dalam perekonomian Indonesia, dengan cabai merah (Capsicum annuum) sebagai salah satu komoditas bernilai tinggi. Meskipun produksi cabai merah cukup signifikan, petani menghadapi tantangan akibat keterbatasan akses terhadap teknik pertanian modern dan informasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis dampak media brosur terhadap pengetahuan petani cabai merah keriting mengenai manfaat penggunaan mulsa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi-eksperimental, menggunakan metode pretest-posttest dengan kelompok kontrol. Data dikumpulkan dari sumber primer dan sekunder, dengan petani dari kelompok Berkah Makmur dan Mulya Tani sebagai sampel. Penelitian ini akan dibatasi pada periode waktu tertentu. Pengumpulan data akan dilakukan melalui kuesioner, dan lokasi penelitian berada di Desa Cimenteng Jaya. Data akan dianalisis untuk menguji hipotesis pada kelompok yang menerima intervensi, serta membandingkan skor rata-rata sebelum dan setelah penyuluhan konvensional, serta skor rata-rata sebelum dan setelah penyuluhan pertanian menggunakan brosur, dengan rentang skor 0-15.
